  1. I’ve been using 12 lb on most of my setups for many years and never had a problem with break offs.
  2. I received mine today as well. I agree it is a little on the large side, but not so big that I need to send it back for a smaller size.
  3. I have some of each but prefer split grip rods
  4. Thanks. Just ordered one.
  5. I use 14lb Sunline Super Natural for all cranks. It is the same diameter as most 10 lb lines
  6. Between 4-5 lbs on a Spro Little John
  7. The Elite doesn’t have a SV spool and casts a little further than the Tat SV
  8. SPRO Little John is one of my best producing lures year after year
  9. I have the same boat as you. 2016. The previous owner had removed the fish finder and the factory wires were unhooked under the console. Assuming it’s the factory wiring, it’s a light blue and a brown wire. I connected the wires to the ACC fuse so I didn’t need an Inline fuse. Message me your email address and I’ll send you the factory wiring diagrams.
  10. I fish brush piles with that rod and it does great but I use straight 12lb FC, no braid to leader.
  11. Daiwa Alphas SV 800. $173 from Digitaka
  12. Jig and craw, Bill Lewis Hammer Trap and SPRO Little John
  13. I have a 175. Yes the pre rigged wires go to the starting battery.
  14. I do the same. Been doing it that way for many years
  15. I have that rod. It’s pretty stout for a MH but I had no problem casting Texas rigs down to 3/16 back when I used to use it.
  16. Vinyl. I’ll never own another boat with carpet
  17. Me too. I’ve used it off and on a few times over the past few years and I couldn’t tell any difference.
  18. Supernatural. You have to go by diameter and not pounds though because it is a lot thinner.
  19. I tried Tatsu once and it’s a really good line, but I didn’t see much difference between it and Samurai. So IMO it wasn’t worth the extra money.
  20. I only use FC for jigs and Texas rigs. Slack line sensitivity is better
