  1. I've always felt that colors are more for the fisherman than the fish. That said I have close to all the colors of baby brush hogs, senkos, chigger craws, peca chunks, etc.
  2. PB largie was caught between 1pm and 3pm but it was in the early spring when the water was still really cold. However, most of my other big bass are caught right around or a little after sunrise or right around or a little before sunset.
  3. I have found the black/blue flake with blue tail to work really well in certain ponds.
  4. According to this thread it looks like people are liking the mojo quite a bit more than the bass x. I have only fished a mojo inshore so I really won’t be much help except say that the mojo inshore felt good.
  5. I was not at all confident in jigs and last year my goal was to fish a jig until I knew I could catch fish on it. Well, it went from one of my least favorite lures to my second favorite (sorry frog always wins). I now will throw it more than any other lure I own. So my advice is go somewhere where there are fish (even if they are small) and stick with it until you grow confidence on these smaller fish. I guarantee you if you put time and patience into it, jigs will become a vital lure in your arsenal. Good luck!
  6. I AGREE!!! I was just complaining to my friend that that is all messed up! I really don’t see the logic in the way they do it, at that point the coin toss determines way to much in my opinion. Oh well, it was a fun game.
  7. I have a couple tournament pros and I put one on a carbonlite and one on a JM signature series from bass pro. Both balance out nicely and fish amazingly. I know people might give me a hard time about this but these combos also look really good with the colors. I would just recomend taking a look (the carbonlite might go on sale for the BPS spring sale). They really are great “bang-for-your-buck” rods IMO.
  8. First of all floro sinks while mono floats which makes mono better for top water. Second, mono stretches and then goes back while floro stretches and remains stretched (mostly). Sorry, I can’t help with the suffix question because I’ve never tried it but I personally would recomend braid on one of the baitcasters just depending on what you plan to use it for.
  9. I’m a lews fan so I’m gonna say lews super duty 8.3:1 which has a flipping switch. Good luck!
  10. I bought a new lews tournament pro lfs and the guy had been stealing people’s credit card info and buying stuff from bass pro with it to resell on eBay and shipping it from bass pro to the buyer. Luckily bass pro worked with me and I kept the reel.
  11. Man, I am really digging those swim jigs! Good luck with the sale, I'm sure they'll go quick!
  12. Yeah, you've got me on that one. I guess I've never really thought about skateboarding as a sport... but then again most people probably don't think of fishing as a sport.
  13. My guess is everything on your list is less popular than bass fishing. However, I try to surround myself with good influences who support fishing and fish themselves. If someone isn't into/supportive of fishing I generally don't need them in my life...?
  14. Ned rig, it works and I’ve caught fish I just never think to use it and really don’t love fishing it. Im gonna make a goal to fish it more this year.
  15. Shakeyhead - Zoom trick worm/roboworm Drop Shot - zoom fluke Wacky Rig - 5” senko Carolina Rig - zoom fluke/lizards(many brands work the same for me) Ned Rig- Zman TRD (of course!)
  16. Shot my first deer last night right before sunset. Considering my lack of experience with a rifle (usually use shotguns for turkey and pheasant) I was pretty pleased with a 200 yard shot. It fell instantly and for the split second I lost focus on it after my shot it disappeared and I figured it ran off really fast but then I noticed it on the ground. Now I see the excitement about deer hunting, needless to say I'm hooked!
  17. Got my first deer yesterday right before sunset. Anyways, needless to say I'm hooked!
  18. Could it be a little storm swimbait? A lot of brands make similar ones so I’m not too sure.
  19. Great shirts for the money!
  20. That is awesome! It was so clear in the video he didn’t have too much confidence in his own baits so they had to throw in the other guy which makes it even funnier.?
  21. They are actually fairly popular among saltwater anglers.
