  1. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  2. The people at our local Cabelas Told me only certain stores would now have the bargain cave. The bargain cave would no longer be in every store. Ours does not have a boat center. The aquarium is a small one here. We have one the smaller stores anyway they built.
  3. One problem here is so much rain.We are on track to have our wettest year on record. The water levels have been up and down and muddy so much the fish don't know what they are supposed to be doing. The temps went from the mid to upper 80s down to low 60s and 50s. We haven't had normal weather so long we don't know what normal is anymore.
  4. I have some of the 50x square bills that run about 5' deep. I have one in a bluegill color and some in various shad colors. So far the only thing I have caught on one of them is a 5 pound drum or white perch. I will say this has not been a good year for me with any crank baits. In fact I have not gotten to fish much at all this year.
  5. Saw an article a while back. The new Bandit baits were so bad and had so many complaints they had to take some old baits and make new molds from them to get them back the way they were. That tells me they are ruining them if they can. Wonder who the rocket scientist was that thought the needed to destroy something they already owned and was working really well?
  6. The O P had baits from early 2000. Pradco has owned them for about 2 or 3 years now. I personally stay away from Pradco baits as much as I can. I feel like they have ruined every company they have acquired and gotten rid of all the colors that worked best for me. They usually move operations to Mexico, cheapen down the baits, and then raise the prices.
  7. I have insurance on my boat. Cost is about $220 a year. I don't believe it is required here. As for what NHBull mentioned about environmental coverage I had never even heard of that. I may have to check and see what I can find out about it. I also have road side assistance in case I ever have a problem getting to or from the fishing hole.
  8. Since Norman is under new ownership it will be a crap shoot on what colors they keep. Bandit also has the same new owners. They made a goby colored bait but it did not luck anything like yours.
  9. I have to agree with you 100% on that one.

  14. I haven't caught anything on a lipless crank bait in about 50 years. The only lipless bait I ever caught fish was a Bayou Boogie. I know a lot of people on here never heard of them. I have some lipless baits in my tackle box but if they were gone I wouldn't miss them.
  15. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  16. Putting Colorado blades on the bait will be okay. I sometimes put a small Colorado blade on the clevis with a larger willow leaf on the end. I have some with 2 Colorado blades on them. I would use silver blades for clearer water and gold blades for murky water.
  17. As far as I know you can fish Taylorsville lake at night. I usually put in at the Chowning Lane ramp. The only time I have ever seen the gates closed was about 2 or 3 years ago after the lake came up after a lot of rain. You might want to try Guist Creek lake in Shelby county. I was there about a month ago. They charge a $6 launch fee for boats.
  18. Hello and welcome to the forum. I've never used a rod in the price range you are looking at so I can't help you with it.
  19. I have had good luck with Sunline super florocarbon. It is one of the cheaper floro lines out there. It is $14 or $15 a spool. It has been very good on baitcasters but I would not recommend it for a spinning reel. I normally use 12 pound test for soft plastics and jigs.
