Craw plastic bait only, no jig
I have had some very good days using a Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Craw or the Berkley Crazy legs Chigger Craw. I also like to use them as jig trailers. Sometimes the extra bulk and weight is needed to catch fish.

Bargain baits
I have some of the H2O squarebills. They have fantastic paint jobs on them. Wish I could get out and use them more. Also agree with Zoom being a good value for the price.

Loosening drag after fishing
I loosen my drags after fishing. Have been doing it that way for many years. loosen the drags on baitcasters and spinning reels too.

Throwing a spinner
I can't say what you were seeing but I have had shad school up around a spinnerbait up here and stay with it all the way to the boat.

Bluegill cranks
I like 6th Sense and Rapala in the bluegill pattern. I just bought some Lucky Craft in bluegill pattern. Haven't had a chance to use them yet but I really like the color pattern.

Ribbon tails and U-Tales
I fish mine Texas rigged with either a 1/8 or 1/4 ounce sinker. Usually give it a slow drag most of the time.

Best craw bait for weedless
I use The Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Craw and the Berkley Crazy Legs Chigger Craw. I have very good luck with either one. I also use the Zoom craws for a jig trailer.

Grubs for T-Rigs?
I am the same way. I start with Baby Brush Hogs and worms. Then go to craws. When none of these work then I get out the grubs or the centipedes.

Every day carry knife...
I retired from maintenance in the local school system. The law says you can't have deadly weapons on school property. I always carried a knife and so did most of the other maintenance guys. It was nothing more than a tool to help us do our job. If the kitchen staff didn't have knives they couldn't have gotten the meals ready.

Anyone still throwing a single Colorado blade spinnerbait?
I have some of the original Stan Sloane Zorro spinnerbaits in a short arm single Colorado blade. My best luck has come on one in a color similar to War Eagle spot remover. I would also add I have never tried the lift and drop retrieve shown in the video. I usually slow roll them.

Clear water plastic colors
For soft plastics I tend to use watermelon seed color most of the time. I can't even get a fish to look at Watermelon red.

Lews
I have several Lew's reels. I have a BB1 and two Tournament MBs. The only problem is one of the MB reels gets noisier and a tighter feel to than it should have. I bought a Tournament MP and another BB1 during the Christmas sales. I haven't used the MP yet and the BB1 I put away for a backup when needed. I don't even use the magnetic brakes on mine as it didn't seem like they were doing anything anyway. I bought two Lew's Carbon Fire spinning reels last year from DSG. They are a DSG exclusive. So far they have been okay.

Grubs for T-Rigs?
I fish the Zoom Fat Alberts like that. I use Gama Skip Gap 1/0 hook and a 1/8 ounce sinker. This has saved my day several times.

Strange/unusual things you've seen fishing
While fishing one day I heard splash near the bank. It didn't seem like a normal splash a fish would make so I wondered what it was. Then it splashed again. I looked over and a water snake was coming out of the water with a small catfish in its mouth.
