  1. I use a swivel and I use mono for a main line and floro for a leader. I try to watch and not get the swivel in to the end guide. I don't like the idea of a knot going through the guides. I feel like that will weaken the line from the knot hitting them.
  2. Black& Blue and PB&J are the colors I use the most. I rarely use any other color.
  3. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  4. Hello and welcome to the forum. Hope you get everything to work out for you and catch lots of fish.
  5. Sufix Siege in 12# or 14# on baitcasters and 8# or 10# on spinning reels.
  6. I t depends on the time of year and where I am fishing. Most of the time I go to a Zoom grub or centipede. On rare occasion I might throw a tube if I am really desperate to catch one.
  7. Janns Netcraft has a lot of spinnerbait blades.
  8. I got my first shot last week and my wife got her first one yesterday. We both got the Pfizer vaccine.
  9. I agree that new fisherman should avoid information overload and work on getting good with a few techniques. There are many techniques and presentations I will never try. With so many needing a specialty rod for this or a certain type of line for that I can't afford to try every new trick that comes along. I will keep going with what I have and hope they keep working for me.
  10. I'm glad I don't live anywhere close to you. I wouldn't want to get caught in the crossfire. Good luck defending your castle.
  11. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  12. I use rod covers on all of mine. My boat has one small rod locker that holds maybe 9 setups at most. The rod covers keep them from becoming a tangled mess when you take them out.
  13. Zoom Ol Monster, Mag II, U Tale and Trick Worms. Some Culprits in 7.5". Have too many colors to list. Have a bunch of colors I am trying to use up and get rid of them.
  14. Hitch and coupler both locked. I leave mine locked even when stored in the garage.
  15. Welcome back to the forum.
  16. I have storage box mine stay in a compartment that can be locked. I put them on just before I put the boat in the water and take them off right after I bring it out. The boat stays in the garage but I store them in the house during the winter.
  17. I use either a shakyhead worm or the finesse worm on a shaky head. I would use the finesse worm on a drop shot. I have used a trick worm on a shakyhead and had a few bites but never caught anything with it. I know this is shocking considering how many people love that setup. I save the trick worm for a Texas rig.

  19. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  20. I start with a crankbait and spinnerbait most of the time. If nothing happens I go to a baby brush hog, worm or maybe a jig. If need be I will change to grub or centipede. If these don't work I go home and hope for a better day next time.
