Hello and welcome to the forum.
  7. Since you say you already have some soft swimbaits you might want to try them on an underspin. I just bought some Owner Flashy Swimmers to try. I have seen them highly recommended several places. I was using the Swormin Hornets but the owners you can rig weedless. I seem to have better luck with swimbaits when I throw them on an underspin.
  8. Instead of a standard curly tail worm I try a Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Worm. You can swim them through some cover without getting hung up.
  9. The lakes I fished it was for panfish. Bream and Crappie on live bait. Might catch a Catfish or Carp once in a while before I got in to Bass fishing.
  10. No I don't know that this has happened. Since it is possible to snag a fish or catch some other species looking for a meal I don't feel like taking a chance.

  14. One lake I fish it is common to see Otters. I move to another area when I see them. I don't want to snag one of them or have them mistake my crankbait for a small fish.
  15. Probably a toss up for me between a crankbait and a spinnerbait. Both LMB and neither one big enough to brag about or weighing and measuring.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
  17. I have never caught trout, walleye, saugeye, black crappie, muskie, or a blue catfish. I guess I have caught just about everything else that swims in the waters around here. I have never intentionally fished those species but you would think you would catch one once in a while fishing for others.
  18. Happy new year to all of you and may 2021 be a much better year for us all.
  19. You and @roadwarrior are both wrong. I have never ordered from Tackle Warehouse either.
  20. I took mine out. I don't fish tournaments and if in the rare event I did keep some fish they would have more room to move around. If you kept a very big catfish or some other large fish you would need to take it out anyway.
  21. Like @FishTank I usually spend my money elsewhere. I don't buy anything that has some pros name all over it. There are some that I have seen and heard enough about there attitudes and behavior I will never buy anything they endorse.
  22. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  23. If I think about it when I hook one I say you're not allowed to get off. You have to stay on the hook. Once in a while they actually listen to me and stay on until I get them in the boat.
  24. I would have to go with a 6'6" MH/F and a 6.4:1 reel with 12# mono. It would work for most techniques including topwater baits.
  25. I hope this is not the beginning of what to expect in the coming year.
