  1. Great news to hear. You're next update you will be telling us how many fish you caught.
  2. When people ask me to cook I ask two questions. Do you want your peanut butter sandwich made with creamy or crunchy? Do want jelly on it?
  3. Hello and welcome to the forum. Thank you for your service.

  5. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  6. Nice to hear things are starting to turn around and get better for you.
  7. I have been working on cleaning mine the last few days. I used the Mister Clean Magic Eraser sponges. It does an excellent job of cleaning them. Some of my rods are close to 20 years old and had never been cleaned before. These sponges will fall apart as you use them so get a pack with several in it. If the cork is in bad shape I used some Minwax wood filler in the tube in golden oak color. It is slightly darker than the cork is. I couldn't get the Elmers that is highly recommended. Sand it down smooth with 220 grit sandpaper. The final step is to get some U40 Cork Sealer and put it on the handles. Use it sparingly as a little goes a long way. Edit: I forgot to post anything you don't want wood filler or Cork Sealer to get on needs to be covered with masking tape. Go to Flukemasters you tube channel. He has a good video of the whole process.

  9. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  10. That was amazing. I never dreamed of how much could go in to making a crankbait. Wish I could be that talented
  11. I use one for senkos and finesse jigs. It has worked very well for me.
  12. With some of the pictures @A-Jay has posted he would call these a calm day on the water.
  13. I like the brown craw fish color crankbaits that Bandit has. Have caught fish with them. The only yellowish color bait I have tried is a DT6 in hot mustard color and have caught a few with it. I have bought some Rock Crawler crankbaits in a couple of brown colors but have not tried them yet.
  14. That is the one I am referring to. The one I had the most luck with has a silver Colorado blade and a skirt very similar to the spot remover color in War Eagles color line.
  15. I feel like I have better luck with a slower ROF. I usually use an 1/8 ounce sinker for most of my T rigs. I will use heavier sinkers if throwing around heavy cover. I probably need to be using heavier sinkers a lot more than I do.
  16. Check out Janns Netcraft. I just ordered some blades from them. They have spinner bait bodies and anything else would need. I can't say they have have them in the exact specs you posted. Edit: They do have the Hildebrant blades as those are the ones I ordered. Sorry I forgot to mention this the first time.
  17. I usually take six combos. Four baitcasters and two spinning setups. I have one for crankbaits, one for spinnerbaits and topwaters, and two for jigs and soft plastics. The spinning rods are for finesse fishing. I keep a couple of extra reels in the boat in case I mess one up really bad I can switch out the reels. I don't use A-rigs, super big swimbaits or glide baits, or any really heavy baits so I don't need anything for them. I would rather take a little extra time and change out baits if needed than deal with so many rods and reels. My rod box is only big enough to get maybe nine in it anyway.
  18. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  19. All of my rods are 5'6", 6'0", or 6'6". They all have full cork grips. Reels are low profile and the fastest one I have is a 6.8:1. All of them are right handed including my spinning reels.
  20. The way fishing went for me last year I thought I was the worst angler on the planet. I couldn't get anything to work no matter what I tried. At least I got to end the year on my last trip out catching two on a spinnerbait
  21. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  22. Several years ago Stan Sloane made a short arm spinner bait with a single Colorado blade on it. I still have some in 3/8 ounce and have caught many fish slow rolling them. I move them just fast enough to feel the blade turning.
  23. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  24. I bought two Gen 3 Revo S reels that were absolute junk. Sent them to a repair shop that says he fixed them. I will never know as I took them to the local tackle shop and they sold them for me. I will never buy another Abu Garcia reel. I still have a 1st gen Revo S that works just fine.
  25. He will definitely be missed. Always enjoyed reading his posts and trading comments with him. Prayers sent for all the family.
