He was the first James Bond and I think he was the best James Bond. Also liked watching him in The Rock. May he R.I.P.

Big Fire: Wish Me Luck
Glad everything came out okay for you. Hope you get enough rain or snow to put it out.

We all start somewhere.
I have seen a baitcaster put on a spinning rod. This was by an adult that should have known better.

Bearings for dummies
Be very careful using acetone. I nearly had a disaster the only time I have used it was for something I had to do at work. For that reason I bought an Ardent Reel Clean Kit. I don't have to worry about it eating up or damaging anything.

Fuel line clog , primer bulb ? help
My outboard is a Mercury. It started running about like yours is and losing power. I changed the spark plugs and fuel filter and solved the problem. My experience with primer bulbs is if it is bad it won't hold pressure and you would have to pump it up again.

I will thank @Glenn for all he does for us and the information he puts on here. I just wish he wasn't so hard on my bank account.

Bail Closure - Manual or Automatic
Like others have said I always close it manually and pull the line tight to the spool before I start reeling to help avoid line twist.

I struggle with the dropshot.
I have caught very little on a dropshot. Haven't used one in several years now. Someday I might try it again.

Use for a 5.5 foot rod.
I like a 5.5' rod for for top water poppers and walking style baits. This works well for me since I am sitting down to fish instead of standing up and hope I don't fall out of the boat.

Anyone else get skunked today?
I am on the longest skunk streak I have ever been on. Went again today with no luck but it did improve. I did get a few bites. Fairly clear skies with some wind and water temps in the low to mid 60s. I do not understand why these fish are not biting. Could not catch one on a finesse worm on spinning rod. Today was my fourth time on this particular lake and I have not caught anything out of it yet.

Knowing river direction
I was told to be a plumber you needed to know hot is on the left. Cold is on the right. It won't run uphill. Payday is Friday. By the way the Kentucky River flows from south to north.

The dreaded double skunk...
My skunk streak continues. Went today to a lake I haven't fished in over two years. Did not even get a bite of any kind. It is one thing to be getting bites and not catch them but when you don't even get bites I really wonder what is happening. I am not a pro by any means but I'm not that bad either. I used plenty of baits that have worked well in the past. I'm wondering now how hard have these lakes been hit this year and how many fish have been taken out of them so people would have something to eat.

The dreaded double skunk...
Even the limbs and leaves I hook get off before I get them to the boat. I think my skunk streak might only be about a month. I did catch one a while back on a blk/blu jig with with a black sapphire Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Craw for a trailer. Planning to torture myself some more tomorrow. Planning to go to a lake I haven't fished all year.

Time has come....
Always enjoy reading your posts so keep it going as much as possible. Go catch some more fish too.

The dreaded double skunk...
I haven't had to worry about a double skunk since I usually only get to fish once a week. Right now I am in about a 6 week skunk streak. I'm starting to wonder if I should give up fishing.
