Husky Jerk...bait of choice...for now
Bandit was bought out by Pradco several years ago. They are good at ruining baits and colors and then raise the price on them.

Big worms yet?
Like some others posted I need to rethink this as well. I usually don't start throwing 10" worms until the water temp is in the mid to upper 70s. A 7.5" worm is about as big as I normally use until then.

Left alone or harassed
If I remember right it was at least five miles back to the boat ramp. It would have been very dark before they got back.

Boat trailer bearings
My first boat I had a lot of bearing problems. Finally found out the axle surface was worn way down. Replaced the axle and new hubs and bearings and solved the problem.

Left alone or harassed
Most encounters have been just normal chit chat. A lot of times it is either when loading or unloading the boat. One bad one was on the river. My brother and I were fishing and some people kept skiing in the area we were in. If we went to a different spot they would follow us. We finally got away from them. When we left they were sitting on the bank broke down. That is where we left them.

Actual good finds at pawnshops/thrift stores?
I believe it was on here I saw a post where somebody went in to a pawn shop and found a combo that had been stolen from him.

Getting Old
I got my first appt. set up. I go on 6/28 for them to do an exam and evaluation before the surgery. They said that would take about three hours.

Fishing gloves spin-off- face masks
I can't help with the buff. My wife found a product in the vision center at Wal Mart you spray on your glasses and it stops them from fogging up. It has worked very well on ours.

Gear ratio for spinnerbaits and buzzbaits
I use a 6.4:1 for both most of the time. I have done it with a 5.1: with no problem.

Getting Old
I knew I had a cataract in my right eye two years ago. The eye doctor was surprised it got as bad as it did that quick. He thinks it may have gotten bad quicker from some of the meds they had me on when I had my knee replacement surgeries.

Getting Old
The place he has referred me to is supposed to be very good. They are the first place in the state to be able to do cataract surgery with a laser if need be.

Getting Old
I knew something wasn't right by the way things went on the vision check. I knew two years ago I had a cataract in my right eye. I had no idea I had one in my left eye. The one in my right eye is the worst one but my vision is better in it than the left one. Guess I will try to get things set up next week and see what has to happen when.

Getting Old
Made the mistake of going to the eye doctor yesterday for a routine check up. Now he tells me I have to have cataract surgery done on both eyes. I can still see to make a cast and tie my knots. I fail to see the problem.

Identical Baits That Perform Differently
I can think of two baits I have seen this happen. One was an old Rebel Deep Wee R. The other one is a Bandit 200 series. Had several Bandits in a certain color that have caught a lot of fish. They got so beat up and paint coming off I retired it and got a new one out. It hasn't done near as good as the one I retired. I may need to put new hooks and split rings on it and use it again.

Your First Graphite
My first graphite rod was 6' Browning MH rod I used for soft plastics. Bought it in the late 70s or early 80s. Finally broke it and bought another one and I still have. It is very stiff and I was never happy with the way it casts. I didn't use it very long before I retired it. I don't ever remember catching a fish on that rod.

A good tackle box
I have been using a six tray Plano 9606 tackle box for at least 20 years. I wish I could find another one. It has been in the boat during some bad rain storms and nothing got wet as long as it is closed. This is one reason I won't switch to a tackle bag.
