Interesting experience at BPS yesterday....this ever happen to you?
Many years ago We took a trip to BPS. I left without buying anything. My wife tried to call 911 and have me checked out at the hospital. These days I have about everything I need so I don't buy much. The last couple of times I was in Cabelas all I bought was reel oil and grease. Our Cabelas store is one of the smaller ones and it is packed with BPS branded stuff so they don't have very much I want anyway.

The furture is here today ~Royal Marines Jet Suited and Boarding ships
If they had that when you were in the Coast Guard you would have probably been the first one in line to try it.

Zoom big dead ringer...
I use them and have caught fish with them. I only have two colors right now. Watermelon Seed and Black. I haven't used the black ones much but I did catch a SMB on one the first time I used it.

I wonder if @A-Jay would be willing to try it and give us a demonstration?

Broken Lures that Still Catch
You are lucky you can still use it. I had a lure crack one time and I didn't know it. I found out when it broke in half fighting a bass. I only got the front half of the lure in. If it were mine it would be thrown away.

Free Fishing Saturday
This is free fishing weekend in Kentucky. I don't fight the weekend crowd anyway but I sure wouldn't go this weekend. The weather forecast has a lot of rain for every day this week so it will be a while before I get to go again.

Why are bass rods short?
I don't have any rods longer than 6'6" and don't want one any longer. There are still plenty of people that sit down in the boat or walk the bank to fish that need shorter rods. The fishing industry wants to forget about these people and cater to everyone that believes they have to have the longer rods.

Fishing Alone
I used to fish alone most of the time until I had my knee replacement surgeries. Ever since then my wife has gone with me every time out. It limits my time on the water but it is nice to have someone to back the boat in for you. Our trips together are very enjoyable.

To the best of your memory, what was the lure you caught your first bass on?
I'm not 100% sure but I think my first bass caught on a crankbait was probably caught on old original Rebel crankbait in silver and black. The first one on a soft plastic would be a purple worm made by either Creme or Culprit.

Doesnt anyone use rhe old fashion proven texas rig worms
I use Texas rigged worms every time I fish. I may start with something else but the worm always finds it way on to the hook.

Zoom, done?
You are right about that. I had forgotten about the Cabelas brand. I was thinking more along the lines of buying out bait companies.

Zoom, done?
You are confusing BPS with Pradco. They are masters are ruining companies. I hope Zoom can stay like it is. I use so many of there products I would be lost without them.
