  5. I am now going to have my first cataract surgery Monday Morning and the second one next Tuesday. I started using the meds for it today and my vision has been so blurry I am lucky to see the computer screen. Sure hope it gets better after they are over with. Between me and @Mobasser this is talk about your old age problems on here tonight.
  6. Glad everything came out okay for you. I will be 70 this year and I still haven't had one. My doctor has talked to me about it but I haven't agreed to do it yet.

  9. There is a lot of good info posted here. I am sure the lines have been reformulated over the years to improve them. More knowledge has helped a lot. It took along time before we realized line needed to be cut off and retie you lure. It was discovered line needed to be stored in a cool dark place if possible. The guides on our rods are much better now. I'm sure there are other things I can't think of right now. I used Stren for years until I got a bad spool of it. I tried other brands for a while and settled on Sufix Siege. It is the toughest mono I have ever used.

  16. I use a 6' rod for jerkbaits but I'm one these people that fish sitting down.
  17. I believe what you are referring to is part # 49 on the diagram. It is listed as a sleeve washer and is considered optional. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I tried to post a diagram and I can't get it to work. I may try again later.
  18. You might be need to go to a dealer and get a fuel line setup that ethanol won't damage. A dealer changed mine out because I was using lines from Wal Mart. They said ethanol would eventually cause problems with them.

  20. Hope everyone is having a happy and safe holiday.
  21. I don't have any buzzbaits that weigh more than 3/8 ounce. I have thrown them on a 5.1:1 reel many times with no problems. If you are using a 7.2:1 reel it should get your buzzbait up on top pretty quickly.
  22. I missed getting a hookset on a fish with a Revo S gen 3 because after making a cast it wouldn't kick the thumbar up and engage the spool. I had two of them and they both had this problem. I got rid of them and haven't bought an Abu Garcia reel since then. I also had a backlash in a reel while throwing a crankbait. While I am picking it out a bass hit the bait while it was laying on top of the water. It jumped two or three times while I got the backlash out and landed the fish.
  23. Okay you forced me to go and check the one in my boat. I think it is okay. Unlike most of them mine does not have a gauge on it. It has a little push button in the top of it. You push it in and if it pops back out it is okay. This is the first time I've had it out in at least five years if not longer. The only time it usually get checked is when the game warden are doing a boat inspection. They have also told me to tap on it with a rubber mallet to loosen up the chemicals in it.
