I like the War Eagle Screaming Eagle in 1/2 ounce. Spot Remover and Mouse are my favorite colors. Depending on conditions I some use one that has double Colorado blades. Usually both of them will be silver.

I think we both have the same curse on us. The last two years have been the worst I have ever had. I will get in a few more fishing trips this year. I am not optimistic about my trips anymore since nothing is working that should be working.

I would put it close to the battery if possible. It will give all the wiring and trolling motor protection in case anything shorted out.

I had my surgeries back in 2019. I do have full range of motion. The problem is skin and flesh don't like being pressed between concrete and the metal parts in my knees. If I have to get down on my knees I put an old boat cushion down to kneel on. The place I take my vehicles now for oil changes doesn't cost that much more than me buying the stuff and doing it myself.

I think I need to go back to this the way my bass fishing has been going. I can't make myself put away the bass baits. I need to get some crappie jigs out and try them for a while.

Many years ago I was fishing a cove after dark on a lake I didn't fish very often. I hear a loud blood curdling scream. Then no other sounds. About 20 minutes later I hear another scream. Have no idea what it was and never heard any other noises. Someone told me later that sometimes skunks will make noises like that.

I will be 70 in just under 3 weeks. I had to quit doing my own maintenance after I had knee replacement surgeries. Trying to get down on concrete and get back up doing oil changes is not a good idea for me now.

I normally use grubs on a Texas rig and fish them slowly on the bottom. I have caught fish using them like a swimbait but I have better luck fishing them on the bottom. I will use a boot tail if I want to swim something through the water.

As long as you can pass the breathalyzer test you should be okay. Hope you heal soon and go get them again.

At least you are catching fish. Last year and this year have been the two worst years I have ever had. I haven't caught enough to even mention. Someday I will get my act together and start catching fish again.

I put 40# on a baitcaster to use for frogs. The problem is I keep forgetting to take that setup with me. So I still haven't thrown a frog or tried it to see how it works.

The Fat Albert grubs and centipedes have worked well for me when you need to downsize your baits.

I have two lakes I haven't figured out. Both are less than 150 acres. I have fished both of them 3 or 4 times and haven't caught a bass out of either one. I believe they are both getting so much fishing pressure and tournaments on them they will always be tough lakes to fish.

I have pulled the same trick @Catt did. Caught a nice bass using a buzzbait as a wake bait. My dad used to cast a worm and retrieve it like a crankbait. He caught plenty of fish that way. We didn.t know anything about slow fishing a worm on the bottom at the time.

I don't keep any fishing equipment in my truck. When I am going fishing is the only time I get to fish. I would be too worried about some body stealing my stuff to leave it in a vehicle.

I think @Smells like fish is wrong. That monkey is telling you that you want a pleasure boat for cruising and you want to give up fishing. You need to send all of your rods, reels, lures, and other fishing equipment to me for proper disposal.

All of my bags of Super Flukes have the Zoom name on them.

I have noticed this with some of the older Bandit baits especially in the Louisiana Shad color. I have one I retired after a lot of the paint was gone and it was getting pretty beat up. I think I need to get it back out put new hooks and O rings on it and use it again.

I always use cash for everyday purchases. I have one credit card and only use it if I have to. Don't have or want a debit card. Our credit cards have been compromised twice through no fault of our own. We caught and reported the problem the first time. The second time Visa caught it before we new there was a problem. Both times our cards were cancelled and new ones issued to us with no problems.

I went fishing today and tried casting left handed for a short time. I was casting a 1/2 ounce spinnerbait. It just doesn't feel right or natural doing it that way. I can make a short pitch and do okay but I can't get it right casting left handed. No we didn't catch any fish either.
