  1. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  2. They are also building one here in Kentucky.
  3. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  4. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  5. I am using electricians Klein diagonal cutters very much like what @Catt pictured. I have used them several times to cut hooks to separate me from a fish.
  6. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  7. I have caught more fish on junebug and purple than any other colors.
  8. I need to say thank you to @Alpster for posting this and to @Krux5506 for finding it. I am needing the same parts for my trolling motor. For some reason when I checked that website it showed up as no longer available. I have already placed my order with them for the same parts. Thanks again guys.
  9. I pick up whatever I have rigged up on deck. It will usually be a Texas rigged creature bait, worm, or a weightless Senko.
  10. That axe is almost as old as one I had. Replaced the handle twice and the head once.
  11. Hope you enjoy your retirement. I have been retired almost 7 years. It was tough at first. It took me 15 or 20 minutes to get adjusted to it. LOL. I would like to have worked a few more years but my body was getting to worn out to keep doing high demand physical labor. I am enjoying retirement and still do a service call on equipment once in a while.
  12. Hello and welcome to the forum and thank you for your service.
  13. Kentucky Bass is just another name for a Spotted Bass.
  14. I have done it but it wasn't a pretty sight. One day I started having shoulder pain while fishing. I tried casting left handed. I didn't get a lot of distance and very little accuracy. Muscle memory for casting is so good in my right arm I never tried casting left handed again. Now if my shoulder hurts I just pick up a spinning rod to fish with.
  15. I get an e-mail at least once a week trying to get me sign up with them again. I don't need anything they give you for signing up again and I can get as good or better information in many other places.
  16. I read an article many years ago about this. It said the coloration of a SMB was determined by the colors of the environment it was in.
  17. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  18. I wouldn't want to live the life @Mobasser describes running all over the country and hoping you can stay in a decent hotel. I also wouldn't want to be guy that tells his family I can't be there for a childs graduation or some other important family event. Several years ago I was in our local tackle shop. A fellow came in talking about bad the fishing was. He said he was in a tournament with 18 boats. Only 6 fish got weighed in.

  20. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  21. I had several types of cap guns and BB guns. I enjoyed them but I had more fun with my old Lionel train sets. Believe it or not I still have them. Don't have a clue if they still work.
  22. Dad smoked Chesterfield for a while then switched to Parliament. We had the S&H Green stamps and Top Value stamps. Dad got me my first rod and reel with one of them. It was a South Bend spincast setup. Depending on the season there were always a bunch of us getting a baseball or football game going after school or in the summer. No such thing as staying in the house unless the weather was really bad. Gas station attendants came out to you. and put gas in the car, checked the oil, and cleaned the windshield for you. Born in 51. The good old days. Edit. Forgot to add we had several restaurants where they had car hops. Place your order over a speaker and they brought the food to your car. One of them is still operating that way but they did add some inside dining rooms. Also remember going to the drive in movies.
  23. I could do it. I'm sure I could keep up with the bottom five in any tournament. LOL
  24. I respool in the spring and whenever the spool gets low. I may have to respool if I do something stupid and get a backlash so bad I have to cut it out.
  25. I use mono on all my setups for moving baits. I have been using Sufix Siege for a many years and I really like it. Once I find something I like I just don't change. I use floro on my setups for Texas rigs and jigs. The only other line I have tried is Yo-Zuri Hybrid copolymer. I put 6# on a couple of spinning reels. I haven't used it much but so far I do like the way it handles.
