Dec 7, 1941
I had a Brother In Law that was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was on a ship sitting next to the Arizona. He was blown in to the water but he made it. He never talked about it much and I never pushed for information about his experiences. He passed away in 2011 just a few days after their 45 anniversary.

Electronics Repair
I have never had a depth finder apart. Electronics repair usually needs a very gentle touch and may have to solder wiring in a very small space. I would rather leave it someone that is better at this type of work than I am.

Electronics Repair
I have a Garmin echoMAP50dv depth finder on my boat. The card reader has gone bad in it and I haven't been able to do any updates for several years. I finally e-mailed Garmin about the problem. They told me they didn't have any replacement units for this and they could no longer repair it. They recommend I send it to a marine electronics repair shop. Does anybody have any info on these places. Who would be good to send it to or who to avoid? Any help and info is appreciated. As expensive as this unit was when I bought it I would rather repair it than replace it.

Turkey as a sedative
Happy Thanksgiving to you to. I retired from our local school system doing maintenance work for them. One day I was in a school when they had their Thanksgiving turkey dinner. That afternoon I was talking to one of the custodians there. He commented on how quiet the building was that afternoon. He said he wished they would have turkey everyday for lunch.

Plowing with a Jeep Wrangler
My brother used to have a 1948 Willys Jeep he had a snow plow on. It was a four cylinder and he could push snow pretty good with it.

Color that surprised you
I also have one that surprised me the wrong way. Plum. I heard some many things about how good this color is supposed to be I had to try it. I bought a pack of Mag II worms in that color. I caught one bass on that color. When there were only two left in the pack I threw them away. Watermelon Red is another color people love that doesn't work for me.

Picking Out New Baits
For me fishing is much like @papajoe222. I pick out my wifes baits, take the fish off the and take pictures. She only uses two rods with spincast reels on them. One for soft plastics and one for crankbaits most of the time. She hates crankbaits. She says those mean treble hooks attack her. She doesn't usually try to pick out any baits for me. If I tell her what I want and where to get it she will get them for me for birthday or Christmas.

I'm a bit Ticked off...
I spent $69 yesterday to fill up two vehicles and my boat. Our gas is running about $2.94 - $3.15. I got it for $2.84 getting a 10 cents a gallon discount. I haven't noticed what diesel is right now.
