  1. I bought a couple of Berkley Frittside crankbaits in different sizes to try. Got them in the Spring Craw color to try this Spring.
  2. I haven't carried any split shot sinkers with me for years. I do use some of the cylindrical weights that you peg with a rubber toothpick.
  3. Hello and welcome to the froum.
  4. I always back my drags off completely after every trip. Get them set again when I put them in the boat for the next trip.
  5. I can't offer any advice on your lure choices. Tackle Direct is a legit company. I have ordered from them and customer service was very good. The only reason I don't order from them now is they seem to be geared more towards salt water fishing. They don't have a lot of what I use for bass fishing.
  6. I would go with the 6. I don't even own a 7. My fastest reel is a 6.8:1 or about 28 IPT. Also have several in 5 or about 20 IPT.
  7. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  8. I have an old Browning Gold Medallion rod I bought some time in the 1980s. It is supposed to be a M/H but it feels more like a heavy action rod. It hasn't been used a lot. I never got the casting distance out of it I could get with other rods. At one time I think BPS owned the Browning name and had several of their reels. They don't have them listed anymore. Doing a google search I couldn't find out much about them. They may not be in business anymore.
  9. I use 12# Sufix Siege mono. Doesn't matter if it is 3/8 or1/2 ounce spinnerbait.
  10. I generally use the same system of worm fishing. I use mostly straight tails in the early part of the year. If I use a ribbon tail worm it will be either a 6" or 7.5" worm. I don't throw the Mag 2 or Ol Monster worms until up in June most of the time
  11. I only use a T-rig. I have only fished a wacky rig a few times. Never had any luck with it.
  12. The Ned rig for me. I haven't made 1000 casts with it yet. Every time I use it it gets hung up and I end up breaking it off and go to something else.
  13. I go with either a Zoom Fat Albert grub or a Centipede.
  14. Down here they don't get any tax money on property tax, sales tax, or lottery. They get funded by the sale hunting and fishing licenses, boat license, and tax on the sales of hunting and fishing equipment. I don't blame the guy in the op for trying to make some money on the situation.
  15. It was my fault one of them broke. I had one break one day while fishing and it had never had anything done to it. I ordered four to replace all of them. These are metal caps instead of plastic.
  16. Want to say thank you to @A-Jay for posting the info for me. I had problems getting the order to go through the way it should on the computer. Between e-mails and phone calls we have gotten the problem worked out. The parts should be shipped shortly.
  17. I'm 550 miles from Springfield and I got mine today too. I didn't know we had the same mail carrier. LOL
  18. I am needing parts for Shimano Curado 200B reels. I need a couple of pawl caps. It is listed as part # BNT1092. Anybody know if these are still available and where to get them if they are? Thanks in advance for any help.
  19. I am like @Mobasser. I really like the full cork grips. Most of my rods have them. I have a couple of older rods with foam grips that haven't been used in many years. I think the split grips are so ugly I won't even consider buying them.
  20. I found out our Home Depot has these kits in stock. I plan to pick one up this week. Thank you @FishTank for causing me to spend more money for something posted on this forum. LOL.
  21. I"m looking forward to it. I plan to take my reels apart to clean and lube them this week. Then I will put new line on them. I always wait until fishing time is getting close to do this. Now I hope we don't get a bunch more rain to flood and muddy up the water.
  22. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  23. There are many members here I would like to fish with. The one I can't pick is @A-Jay. He has this thing about being on the water at 3:00AM. At that time of morning I would be lucky if I didn't fall out of the boat. LOL. As for pros it would be. Al linder Hank Parker David Fritts Jimmy Houston Rick Clunn
