  1. We have had about 5" or 6" of snow so far and most of that came this past week. Using a 2 stage Cub Cadet snow blower. This year is the first time I have used it in 3or 4 years. Supposed to have highs in the 50s with a bunch of rain this coming week.
  2. We had about 4" of snow here. I had to get the snow blower out. Cleaned my driveway and sidewalks and the driveway and sidewalks for my next door neighbors that are in there mid 80s to mid 90s. Also cleaned the sidewalks for three other neighbors. Supposed to get down close to 0* tonight and -5* tomorrow night.
  3. I can't feel much difference between the two. I agree with @Jig Man about the skill level and the type of equipment. The type of line can make a difference.
  4. I see his last name is spelled wrong.
  5. @TOXIC I like the Little John baits. I like the Little John MD 50 the best. I have caught fish in several colors of them. I just never could get the Cell Mate color to work for me. I am using a Lews BB1 in a 5.0:1 gear ratio with 12# Sufix Siege mono line on it.
  6. I have used the Little John in Cell Mate and all it ever caught was one little Bream. I need to put in my box of useless baits.
  7. Thank you for the information. I didn't know what Bronco Bugs were or how they a packaged.
  8. I had 3 packs of Z Man finesse baits in the pouch and then I added two packs of Zoom swim baits and I was still able to close the pouch. That’s probably close to the max. I want to be able to put two packs of soft plastics in each individual bag. So if it has ten bags I want it to be able to hold twenty bags of soft plastics.
  9. Edit: I need to apologize and reword this post. Mr. @Mossman are the bags in the Mustad bag big enough to hold two packs of soft plastics in their original bags? I like to keep my soft plastics in their original bags. I am looking at ordering these. I ordered a couple of bags from someplace else and they will not work for me. The bags are way too small. Appreciate any info I can get.
  10. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  11. I too want to thank @A-Jay for posting this. I have it bookmarked so I can check out several lakes.
  12. Our stat record LMB is14.59# caught in 2019 in lake that was so small it didn't even have a boat ramp.

We went to this Buccees not to long after it opened. It was really busy but got to park right at the door. Went in and checked it and left without buying anything.
  14. The seniors license is $12.00. The lifetime seniors license is $180.00 These include deer and turkey permits, waterfowl and trout stamp. The license year runs from March 1st to the last day of February. I'm already 72 so I'm not spending the money for a lifetime license.
  15. We are staying in tonight. Watch a movie on tv and be in bed by 11:00.
  16. Happy new year.
  17. I had to use a lot of soft plastics this year. I can't say one stood out more than another but they are the only things I caught fish on. My biggest surprise was catching a SMB on a Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Worm.
  18. Crankbaits and spinnerbaits were my biggest disappointments this year. I only caught one small bream on a crankbait and nothing on spinnerbaits.
  19. There have been several times my wife came home to find a note from me telling her I had been called away on an emergency fishing trip. I always let her know where I would be fishing. Her only complaint might be she didn't get to go with me.
  20. Zoom Baby Brush Hog Zoom Z Craw Jr. Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed Worm I have to agree with @WRB that you really need to have MH/F rods for T-rigs.
  21. We had our 45th anniversary back in September. I can't believe she was willing to put up with me all these years. She said she never once considered a divorce. She did consider murder a few times.
  22. I had to fish a lot less than in years past. I got to go around 20 times this year. Most trips were 4 to 6 hours. Unexpected obligations kept me from going but these are winding down so maybe next year will be better.
  23. @gimruis our store is one of the smaller ones. It is listed as 72,000 square feet. It has several aisles of fishing section. They have some name brand baits but it is loaded with BPS branded baits. The other choice is Sportsmans Warehouse. It has some good choices but the prices are so high I hate to buy from them. They used to take in fishing line but I'm not sure they still do.
  24. I have a Cabelas about 10 minutes from the house. I go there three or four times a year. I am usually looking for something I need right away but I am lucky if they have it in stock. Several years ago I went and asked them if the took in fishing line for recycling. They said no they never had at this store. I don't know if it has changed since BPS bought them out.
