  1. Like @LonnieP I lost a rod and reel years ago and wouldn't go swimming after it. If a lure is so expensive I think I would have to swim for it I won't be buying it anyway.
  2. I know that really hurts. Years ago I bought a flat style Plano tackle box with a clear lid to use when I fished in somebody elses' boat. The baits in the top would get so hot you almost couldn't touch them when changing baits. I spray painted the inside of the lid with high heat engine paint and solved the problem.
  3. Sufix Siege in 8# on spinning and 12# on bait casters.
  4. They are still limiting the number of people that can be in a store at a time. Restaurants are only allowed to use 1/3 of there seating to maintain social distancing. Traffic is somewhat heavier than it has been. As for your knees I don't know how bad yours are. I had knee replacement surgery on both knees done last year. You go through about a month of pain and wondering if you did the right thing. After that you will be much better. I went through in home and outpatient physical therapy plus the exercises they told me to do at home. I am glad I did it and am doing much better now that all my knee pain is gone.
  5. You could stock it with fish and turn it in to a pay lake.

  10. I thought I was the only one that had that problem.

  12. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  13. I have one m/f for crankbaits. One m/h for spinner baits and chatter baits. One m/f for buzz bits and top water poppers and walking baits. Two mh/f for soft plastics. One mh/f for jigs. Two spinning setups for finesse soft plastics. I don't bring all of them when I go. Just the ones I think I will need. I don't like to have more than three setups out on the deck of the boat at a time.
  14. I carry a lot of tackle in my boat. A lot of it is soft plastics I want to use and not get any more of them. I keep trying to eliminate some soft plastics but I'm not making any progress as I keep buying others to try.
  15. This is the only forum I am a member of. I am not a great fisherman but I try to help people when I can. I too have learned a lot being here.
  16. I haven't done any trolling in years. We fished in some necks and coves without any bites. I finally spotted a bank with some rock on it that is when the bites started even though they weren't really going after it. Fishing plain banks with lay down cover nothing happened. Had to be on rocky banks with lay down cover to get any bites.
  17. I has happened several times for me. It has happened with crank baits a few times and even with soft plastics when I was trying wiggle the bait over a limb the sinker was trying to snag on.
  18. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  19. Glad everything turned out okay for you.
  20. I still have a Revo S 1st gen that has been a good reel. I don't know why their were so many problems with the later ones. Lews and Abu are made in Korea. Shimano is made in Malaysia. Lews and Diawa spinning reels are made in China. At least that is the way it is with the ones I have.
  21. I normally bring 4 bait casters and 2 spinning setups on the boat. I haven't bank fished in so long I can't remember the last time. I really don't want to to deal with a big bunch of setups. I can fish anything I want to fish with the ones I have.
  22. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  23. I quit buying Abu Garcia reels after I had 2 revo s generation 3 reels that were nothing but junk.
  24. Got to go try out a new lake today I had found last week. Had no luck at all. Had very few bites. Did have one small one on that got off before I got it to the boat. Water temp was in the mid 70s and about a foot of visibility with clear blue skies and a little windy at times. I guess we fish about 4.5 hours. All of the bites I had came on a Zoom U Tail purple worm.
  25. I have never heard of them being vegetarians.
