Cabels's or Bass Pro shops
I am about 5 miles from a Cabelas. I very rarely go there. It is a smaller store compared to some so it can't stock everything. If I do need something it is rare they have it in stock. Checking store inventory online is a joke. Often times it says something is there only to find it is not.

Stores Being Bought Out.
You got that wrong. I am waiting to see if Pradco buys out BPS or BPS buys out Pradco. They both think they should own everything and not have any competition.

Stores Being Bought Out.
I just found out that Sportsmans Warehouse has bought out a bunch of the Field And Stream stores. I don't know what changes will take place. We have Sportsmans Warehouse here and they have always been on the high priced side. I have never seen a Field And Stream store so I can't comment on them. Thought those of you that use Field And Stream would like to know

Use your reward points.
Thanks for the info. I lost points several years ago because I didn't know they were only good for a year at that time. They did restore them for me. With what little I buy from them now I probably will never get to use any points I have.

National Fishing Day!
Don't be rushing the year. This is June 18 not July 18. Happy National Fishing Day.

Coping with the crowds this year
Went back to the lake yesterday I tried to fish earlier this year. Earlier it was so crowded I had a terrible time just getting a parking place after putting the boat in. Yesterday it was pretty much back to normal. May have been a few more vehicles in the lot but it was not crowded at all. Fishing wasn't great but it was good to be out and the water wasn't crowded either.

Finally
I have two sisters that go to beauticians. I told them it wasn't working. They said she had a sign in her shop that she was a beautician not a magician.

Confidence
I have baits I confidence in that have worked many times. If I am on a good bite I sometimes will change to a similar bait that I think should work but hasn't in the past. I have been known to give up on good lures too quick in the past and not try them as much as I should.

Time
I have been retired for 4.5 years now. I haven't done near as much fishing as I thought I would. I had so much knee pain from arthritis I didn't feel like dealing with getting everything ready to go. Then last year I had knee replacement surgery on both knees. I have recovered from them but it does limit your movements in some ways. Now when I go my wife wants to go with me in case I have a problem and need some help. I don't mind but she doesn't like to be gone too long. I don't get real excited about fishing anymore like I did in my younger days. I hope your retirement goes well for you with no major problems.

Freshwater Eels
Caught eels once in a while fishing for cat fish. Usually gave them a hollow point headache then cut the line and tie on a new hook. I don't want anything that nasty and slimy in my boat.

Spincast Line Spooling
These are early model BPS Extreme spincast reels. Holding the rod and reel in a normal fishing position the line pickup is spinning clockwise looking at it from the back of the reel. They are rated to handle up to 12#line.

Spincast Line Spooling
I have the line come off the bottom for spinning gear. Since the rotation was in the opposite direction from my spinning gear I thought it might need to come from the top. Thinking has gotten me in trouble before.

Spincast Line Spooling
I just put new line on a couple of spincast reels for my wife to use. I used 10# Sufix Elite. It seems to be a little bit springier than I thought it should be. I put it on with the line coming off the top of the spool under tension. Should I have done this a different way? Is there a different line I should have used that might be better? I will find out if there are any problems once she gets to try it.

Sungill Color
I have seen several posts about the Sungill color on swim baits being very good. Has anybody tried other soft plastics like worms or creature baits in this color? Is it worth trying? Just wondering before I try another new color.
