Daiwa Spinning Reel Drag Adjustment Too Fine
I like the 'longer' turning to adjust the drag - keeps me from doing what Mike said...zero to full almost instantly.

Ya - the card is an ALF gift card that you can only use there...I did that last spring buying a couple Victory rods and ended up paying only $30 out of pocket for a Tatula 100.

- Would You Rather Be Hot Or Cold
I can't live in a warm climate - I can't even visit warm places...told my MIL that I wouldn't visit between May and October (SE Florida). I suffered heat exhaustion twice during AF Basic Training - San Antonio, TX...mid August to end of September. Despite not enjoying the cold - I'll take it any day over the heat. I remember one storm while living in Bemidji - standing air temp was -30, wind chill was -70- ML or M Baitcast Setup for Dropshot/Finesse Fishing
The trade in is very specific - you give them rods, they take a set amount off the rod you want to purchase. If the rod you want retails for $100, they take $20 off...and it's a 1-for-1...you give them two rods, they want you to purchase 2 rods at the discount, if you only buy one, it's still the set amount despite you giving them 2.- Trouble with line spooling and line twist
I built my own spooling station, and it comes off the top (letting the source-spool turn) when spooling baitcasters, off the end when spooling spinners (source spool doesn't move). If you're letting the source spool turn while putting line on a spinning reel - it's gonna end up with line-twist right from the start.- Cormorant Predation - New Article!
15-20 years ago I'd take the runabout out for a day of fishing...then camp on Wawatosa Island, then fish the next day as well. One time, the cormorants were so thick, just about every tree on the island had several perched in it.- Best Bait Caster for a Beginner?
Still looking good though, Tommy. Back to the OP - I would also recommend the Fuego, still have two in my line-up despite the Patriarchs and Tatula TWs I've purchased the past couple years. Solid, dependable reel.- A-Jay's Annual Ice Out / Open Water Countdown Thread ~
What's a hair-cut? I occasionally trim some from the end of the pony-tail to keep it even, but that's all I do.- Favorite Lures for Fishing Docks ?

Russ - it'd be 'Crappie Trek' if I was being honest pre-bass season.- A-Jay's Annual Ice Out / Open Water Countdown Thread ~
I'm thinking my prediction of March 20 was conservative - with 6 lakes in my local area being declared ice-free by the DNR - and what I saw of Tonka yesterday when I took a little road trip...I'm thinking within a week I'd be able to get Bass Trek out on the 'Big Lake'...maybe even by the weekend.- Winter 2023-2024
Winter is definitely coming to a close - the DNR has reported the following lakes in my area as open East Auburn, Long, Steiger, Stone, Virginia and Whaletail,- Lithium Battery Set-up - Need recommendations
Some Lithium starting batteries do exist - Dakota has one model that is rated for starting. Thing to check for is if the battery has either a CCA or MCA rating - that'll tell you it's rated for starting as well as deep-cycle use.- Winter 2023-2024
I could do that - if the city didn't require us to have a 'neat and clean yard'...I'll harvest them from the garden plots before I plant/transplant anything this spring.- Winter 2023-2024
If I could fit you in Bass Trek, Sean, I'd take you out with me....- Winter 2023-2024
