  1. Ya - I haven't noticed tip-heaviness in any of my Victorys...maybe slightly in my previous gen Mojo Bass
  2. Repeating this cause it needs to be said - mom (who had a BS Nursing and taught) told me this after Scout first aid training..."Only use a tourniquet if direct pressure won't stop the bleeding...never use a tourniquet as your first choice."
  3. If you can wait - you can order now, and they'll ship when it's available...still at the sale price. I have the Fury 705CB - makes a great chatter/spinner bait rod, but I wasn't impressed with it as a crankbait rod.
  4. Up your game - St Croix Victory 7'2" Medium Heavy Cranker - currently on sale for $142 https://www.americanlegacyfishing.com/st-croix-victory-casting-rods.html
  5. Ya - Tonka has a yearly tourney that's specific for carp...and all carp caught can NOT be returned to the water.
  6. I'm wondering the speed of either reel - I run 8:1 on both my pitching rig and my frog/toad rig - ya, two different rigs for those techniques - my HF rod is for frogs, but I got a flip/pitch rod specific for pitching into heavy cover.
  7. I dunno about him - but I have shut-offs for every battery.
  8. Only batteries for the boat I'll buy off of Amazon is Mighty Max...their AGMs have been rock steady for me, I'm sure their LiFePo4s would be just as good.
  9. I prefer a 1000 size on my ML and under rods.
  10. Which lab do you have?
  11. I'd do it now. I run my electronics (Striker 7cv, lights, auto-bilge, LW recirc, tablets (mapping software) and cameras from a 18ah battery. Trolling motor has it's own 100ah and the cranking battery is separate from all the rest. I calculated it based on average run - the LW recirc is a 2amp draw....but it's on a 30sec-on, 270sec-off timer - so hourly draw is 0.2amps average. Bilge is also a 2amp, but runs rarely, so I rated it a 0.1amp draw. Calculate everything up, times the longest number of hours you expect to be out, then for a AGM multiply by 1.4 - need to keep reserve for proper charging...never drain an AGM lower than 40% charge.
  12. I looked at Frogg Toggs - but the Columbia and ICreek had better reviews (not just Amazon, other places too)
  13. Well, it's a bit more than that
  14. While I welcome the moisture - doesn't look good to get Bass Trek in the water before that...and not during that. Not that I'm adverse to fishing in the rain - if it's light or a drizzle...my rainsuit isn't the top-dollar one most of you guys have so I don't want to test it in a downpour.
  15. ALF just posted - 25% off all St Croix rods through Sunday
  16. Watch water temps take an up-tick this weekend
  17. While I'm a YZH fanboy - I don't use it for bottom contact...stick with FC for that. I've been using Tatsu (gifted) and InvizX (bought) - though this past Yule I was gifted some Spro Gouken and I'll be giving that a try. If Sniper has been working for you - why change what works?
  18. Considering that Rather Outdoors bought Zebco/Quantum back in 2021, hard for Rapala to grab them And they're being 'supported' by the two flagship brands that Rather owns - Strike King and Lews.
  19. Go with the NoCo - I won't have any other charger on my boat.
  20. Trolling rods have a different action than casting rods - they're made for....wait for it....trolling - not casting/retrieving a lure. A generic Medium/Fast rod would suit better - Aird-X was mentioned earlier, that's a really good rod for the price...I have a couple and prefer them to rods costing almost twice as much..
  21. I don't do Apple - Windows PC or Android only.
  22. See your user-name near the top-left...click on the little down arrow on the right side, that takes you to your Profile. Top towards the right is 'Account Settings'...click on that, then in the menu on the left you'll see 'Signature'...click on that and Bob's your uncle.
  23. @papajoe222 - my switch got taken by the wife - she lets me know when I'm allowed to think for myself.
