  1. No Victory Spinning rods....ah well...
  2. I see the 25% off evergreen - but where's the St Croix BOGO?
  3. They're more closely related to Bass - true Perch are closely related to Walleye and Sauger - but giants of White Perch are around 20" and 5# I use to catch them all the time in Indian Lake and Wachusett Reservoir when I lived in MA. 12" is good eating size.
  4. Vacuum/dry brush out - then diluted Mr. Clean with a toothbrush as needed.
  5. Doesn't always help. One time I was in the old canoe...inside the no-wake buoys on one bay...wake boat charges through at speed INSIDE the buoys, so in the no-wake zone.
  6. Three boxes 1: My 110 clones 2: Floaters and sinkers 3: Non 110-clone suspenders
  7. If you were Charles's son, you'd be a Hofschire - but I don't remember Charlie and Sheila tying the knot or even having kids. Jane died in 1979 - married name was Davis. Those were John and Irja's kids - so I think it's a different John Hofschire.
  8. I think part of it has to do with the difference between round reels and low-profile reels. The round reels have larger diameter spools, so a lower gear ratio gives you a higher IPT. Example: Ambassadeur 4500 C has a gear ratio of 5.3:1 giving it an IPT of 26 Daiwa Tatula 100H has a gear ratio of 6.3:1 giving it an IPT of 26.3
  9. Except for deep-diving cranks and large, hard swimbaits - that's pretty much a universal gear ratio....though more important (far as I'm concerned) is the Inches Per Turn...should be on the box. To zoom in closer to what it can handle - the rod stats also come into play (Power/Action - I.E. MH/F)
  10. On Minnetonka - it's the County Sheriff's Water Patrol that does this...and yes, they've checked me...back when I had the runabout.
  11. I was talking in general terms, Dwight....there are exceptions - such as you mentioned.
  12. If you're anchored (spot locked), you have the right-of-way....doesn't matter if you're on an SUP or in a 50' cruiser...'parked' boat has right-of-way
  13. Always balance them - just as important as for your self-powered vehicles.
  14. In case you didn't notice - I've dropped from 3rd to 15th just from today's results.
  15. For me it was Bucket C - and my Bucket A guy is almost trailing everyone.
  16. Long as the bus-bar is rated for the maximum amps you expect to push through it...shouldn't be an issue.
  17. Definitely sounds like microscopic algae suspended in the water....got access to a microscope?
  18. Two items arrived today - both used, but both in excellent condition First up - Victory 7'2" Heavy/Moderate - this will match with my Supreme XT 6.4 for my DT-12s to DT-16s, heavier cranks/squarebills and 1/2oz+ spinners. Got it from ALF during the sale, so $123 with tax. Second up - my second Patriarch 7.1...sometimes Evil-Bay has something I want. Some boat rash, but perfect working order. Paid $75 with tax. This is going on my Mojo 7'5" MH/XF for jigs and light-moderate cover pitching.
  19. Despite the Tatulas I've purchased and used - this one is still my favorite. Pflueger Patriarch 7.1:1 - It saddens me that Pflueger dumped all but the President XT for their baitcasting reels.
  20. Good news for both of you, Andy. Give Lynn a B-Day hug from me...and still sending good vibes to both of you.
  21. I wasn't gonna name him...if you knew, you knew...
  22. Big difference between momentarily now and then (TM/Sonar) and having to work the controller continuously (no E-mating)
  23. Proper pairing of a TM and Sonar - and the Sonar controls the TM. You can have programs to follow a specific contour maintaining a set depth, set up a route and it'll follow that, tap a Waypoint and the TM will automatically take you there.
  24. ^ total agreement - wearing even the darker gray HUK long sleeve keeps the sun from heating me up...it's cooler IN sun-shielding clothes than out of them.
