Okay - then a Genius 5x2 or 10x2 for the charger (I have a 5x2 for my AGMs - 100ah for TM...12v Edge 45 - and 35ah for the 'house' battery...lights, pumps, etc) If left connected when not used - they can affect each other and shorten the life.

Deep Cycle Batteries
^ Ya, I'd go with AGMs myself - actually I did when I built Bass Trek...didn't even think of Wet-Cell or Gels...went straight to AGM (couldn't afford Lithiums) Another advantage to AGMs - other than upside-down, you can mount them in any orientation...can't do that with Wet-Cells.

1: If you're running a 36v TM, you'll need 3x12v batteries. Just drop that switch and get one rated for the voltage/amperage. Might be able to just replace the one that's there. You'll also want cut-out switches that disconnects the batteries from each other. 2: I would definitely replace the receptacle..might be advantageous to replace both actually. 3: Get a good charger that can handle a 3-battery system - I'd recommend a NoCo Genius 5x3 (or 10x3 if you want faster charging). As you upgrade batteries to eventually Lithium (LiFePo4), the NoCo will still be capable.

Pre fishing breakfast...
Breakfast is a Jimmy Dean Bowl. I take a sandwich and a 15oz Bolthouse for lunch. I don't snack on chips or such - a ziploc with a cup of blueberries is my hand snack.

Brand new Daiwa certate makes noise when reeling
My first thought is check the amount of grease on the internal gears...I've received new reels that needed a touch more before they'd settle down.

Help finding a jig head like this in 1/4 oz
Just don't use a standard cobalt bit on it - TiN coated HSS....and plenty of oil. And use a vise to hold...I'll drill steel and aluminum holding it by hand, but not tungsten.

#15 InvizX vs Sunline, Sniper/Assassin?
@GReb - I haven't even tried InvizX over 10# and I totally agree on the AbrasX...worst line I've ever had. Far as conditioner...if it's not braid, it gets treated every outing. Couple years ago I was gifted a spool of 15# Tatsu that I used on my bottom contact rig. Very happy with it....just can't afford it regularly. This year, I'm giving some gifted Spro Gouken a shot - 12# for shakey, soft swimbaits, flukes and jig worms; 16# on my main jig rigs, one of which I use for light-moderate cover pitching....we'll see how that works. Only Trilene I use is 10# Big Game as backing on my casting reels...don't use any as mainline or leader anywhere.

@Glenn - these incidents seem to be getting more prevalent....too bad we're not more like the Japanese (yes, I watched your vid) and try to be polite all the time.

"Texas man sets world record after catching rare hybrid fish The fish was a hybrid large-mouth, small-mouth bass" https://www.in-depthoutdoors.com/community/forums/topic/world-record-hybrid-largemouth-smallmouth-bass/ "The term "meanmouth bass" was born when Childers observed a school of largemouth-smallmouths attacking a female swimmer." https://www.in-fisherman.com/editorial/hybrid-black-bass/154884

Mean Mouth
^ Commonly it was just LMB/SMB hybrids, but now includes LMB/any other black bass cross.

New Electronics restricted Bass Tournament in the works ?
Might as well just fish a swimbait - makes it better than a 1-in-5 chance of actually catching what struck.

New Electronics restricted Bass Tournament in the works ?
Just don't fish Minnesota - the A-Rig is illegal here.

Organization
The slide-tops are NOT air/water tight. Packets of silca gel in an empty compartment...not in there now as I replace them at the beginning of the season. 15 days till the bass are legal targets.

Dobyns DX784C - For frogging?
^ Consensus - 4 power isn't stout enough for frogging, you'll want a 5 power minimum. @scbassin's recommendation is a good one...about the right length and good backbone.

Curly tail worms anyone ?
If I'm doing a jig-worm, naturally it's a curly tail. Berkley Power Worm, Zoom UV Speed Worm or Zoom Curly Tail.

Are we talking bigger heads here - like swim jigs, football jigs, etc - or smaller like Ned, Shakey, etc? Bigger ones - 3701 box, each brand/type/weight in it's own compartment. Finesse jigs - each brand/type/weight in one of these slide-top boxes...3 boxes can fit into a 3-wide compartment in a 3620 if the hooks are longer (5/0+ worm/ewg hooks) there's a longer box...3 into a 4-wide compartment Here's what my finesse box looks like - with my 1/8oz Owner Blockheads open to show you that. Joining the 'real' boat crowd
Okay - last little bit about the sonar. Where the heck do you bring the cables up from underneath? Why through the gap between the bow-plate and the TM deck....silly person.

Joining the 'real' boat crowd
Been a while since I posted here - but doing some upgrades in time for bass season to open here (16 days and counting) First - pulled the transducer for the Striker 7cv from the TM...wasn't happy with it there really. Mounted the transducer on the stern and routed the cable through the hull. Mounted it to the port side of the jack-plate. As mentioned in another thread - I ordered a Echomap 93sv, and got at least the RAM mount set up before it arrived today. I've got it above/behind the Striker...made sense to me. I've still got to mount the 93's transducer to the starboard of the jack-plate (bracket the engine with them), pull both transducer cables to the bow (that yellow thing is an electricians cable-snake...that's what you use for pulling wire through enclosed spaces/conduit - business end is already in the stern waiting to go to work), hook up the power and it's time to rock-n-roll.

Why so many different lines of rod?
The more expensive rod lines are - as a rule - tougher, more sensitive and lighter....you're paying for 'better tech'. Gotta balance your needs and your budget - for me that's St Croix Victory.
