  1. Good luck on that, my friend...and give that lovely wife of yours a hug from us.
  2. Again - it depends on the brand/model. Would I throw 1/4 jig with a 5" Senko on my Mojo 6'10" ML? No Would it throw it on my Reflexions A 7'0" ML? Ya...that one is rated 1/8-5/8oz...more of a ML-M than a true ML as it's top end is the same as my Mojo 7'1" M/F
  3. I can name one - Nora got approved her first try...no issues.
  4. Andy - I went through the same thing about 6 years ago. Denied twice, hired a lawyer who deals with this exact issue. Contract was "If we get you your money, you pay...if we don't you don't pay". Not only did they get me my SSDI, but it was also back-dated to the day of my first application - paid them out of the 'bulk' check issued for the 'back pay'.
  5. Ikon boats has this - the livewell system has a chiller, auto-level maintainer, and auto-inject of additives like Sure-Life products...all controlled from a touch-screen. https://ikonboats.com/our-systems/
  6. It's not showing the rig - it's going to a "Please join" page.
  7. I think the majority of the silly rules here are to protect the walleye with no regard to bass guys. That bottom-muncher is the state fish - and when talking stocking...here's some numbers for you 2022 - of all the lakes in Hennepin, Scott and Carver counties (western Twin Cities area) a total of 42 yearling largemouths were divided among 8 lakes...no other lakes were stocked with bass. https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/fishing/fin/stocking.html May 2023 - the Westonka Walleye Program put 24,000 walleye of around 8" in length into Lake Minnetonka alone. https://fb.watch/pwpdkBR-Ln/
  8. Better stick with top-water lures - not much depth there either.
  9. I'll take objection to that - as a born and raised 'Yankee', I'll pit MA/NH/ME seafood against WA any day of the week. Nothing beats an old-fashioned New England Clam-Bake for eating either.
  10. Just gotta have a long enough index finger to feather the line.
  11. Done that too - Supreme 30 on an Okuma Reflexions A 7'0" MH/F, 20# 832 to 8# YZH leader...rod is rated 3/8oz to 1-1/4oz. Being spinning it casts the lighter 5" Senkos just fine. That rig is my primary skipping outfit as I'm still working on skipping with casting gear without ending up with a bird's nest.
  12. Ya, they keep upping our totals too Started with 1/2" total Then went to 2"-4" Now they're saying 4"-8" just tomorrow.
  13. I've really slacked off the past few months....weight is up, cholesterol is up and a blood test yesterday put me at 'pre-diabetic' from all the junk I've been stuffing down my gullet. At least my BP is still good 🙄 Nora and I are determined to buckle down and get back on track.
  14. Problem with this is? I've tossed weightless 5" Yama-Senkos on my Aird-X MH/F - rod is rated down to 1/4oz and the 5" Senko is almost 3/8oz...so it's 'in the range'. Heck, my Mojo MH/F would handle 6" Senkos - rod rated to 3/8oz, 6" Senko is over 1/2oz.
  15. IF you're very careful. From ReLion... "Sometimes using a lead-acid battery charger for a lithium battery can result in damage due to the differences in how the two observe the battery’s charging stage." "The risk is the lead-acid chargers may wind up in fault code condition at some point, despite the Lithium battery probably having received a full recharge. The problem is that the conditions incurred during the fault codes can also cause issues and/or damage to other system electronics, and even the charger itself." https://www.relionbattery.com/blog/are-lead-acid-and-lithium-battery-chargers-interchangeable
  16. Personally if I was to drop $200 on a reel? Shimano Stradic or Pflueger Patriarch another option Daiwa Procyon AL
  17. I can't think of a spinning reel in that dollar range that won't handle braid properly...heck, I run 20# Sufix 832 on my older $100 Pflueger Supreme without issue... I just recommend at least a 2500 size reel.
  18. Low end - Dobyns Fury 702SF High End - St Croix Victory 6'10" or 7'3" MLXF I have a Fury 702SF that I used for finesse - replaced by a Mojo Bass (prior edition) 6'10" MLXF that I like...the Victory would be a little more sensitive and not much more that the current Mojo Trigon version.
  19. Dunno where you heard that - I use cheap 4# mono to back all my spinning rigs...whether the mainline is 8# FC, 6# Mono or 15# Braid...they all get the same backing.
  20. What techniques you going to use it for? That determines whether I use FC, Hybrid or Braid...not what reel I'm using.
  21. Dobyns Fury 664C - yes, it 'says' heavy, but the line/lure ratings are what most other rod companies consider medium-heavy and that's how I treat my 704C...as a medium-heavy.
  22. Okay - got my picks in...lets see if I can do as well or better this year than last
