Fishmas 2022
I don't know how long - but the time I ordered from this place the same items for myself, it was about 10 days total.

Who Carries Daily.....and What Do You Carry...and Why..?
^ What he said. I did have a CC permit when I worked a job where I was transporting money...but when the job ended so did my CC permit. Never re-uped it, don't see the need for myself.

My opinion? It's FISH-mas - should always be a fishing related gift.

Help me not get ripped off.....thoughts on a refit Jon boat I'm thinking of buying
My conversion is basically that kind of boat - 14' semi-V with a deck and all. It's a little rocky, but I don't have an issue standing to cast or leaning over to net a fish. I used BCX plywood for the decking...doesn't have to be marine grade, long as the wood is properly treated, (*cough* Spar Urethane *cough*) it's not that great an issue, but I went with something else for the sidewalls of the compartments - FRP...lighter and no chance of rot. $1250 seems fair - my cost total (purchase of boat/trailer, 25hp motor, Edge TM, materials, etc) was around $3000...and that doesn't include the couple-hundred hours of work over 7 months time.

Seaguar Smackdown On Sale!
'Used' in Amazon's case means 'Someone bought this, decided they didn't want it after all and returned it.' I've bought a number of 'used' things from Amazon Warehouse...the box might be a little dinged up, but the item inside is new with full warranty (where applicable).

Reel for 6’ light premier
I would use a 1000 on the Premier Light - that's the size I use on my L/F rod. Keeps the weight down is the main thing.

Lure Identification
How would you get them inside the lightbulb in the first place?

Technical Line Test Question
Realize that rod is rated 1/4oz-7/8oz....I wouldn't use it for trout. But if you are chasing trout with that - braid backing, yes, and the 12# test.

Medium light rod/Reel size?
Kinda like old Irish - which had only 18 letters...so it results in a number of allophones. One example - there is no 'V' in the old Irish alphabet - to get the sound you have a 'BH' in the spelling...slender allophone depending on the vowels each side. Different vowels, it's pronounced 'W' (no W in old Irish either) as a broad allophone. Ya, it's a fun language...

Medium light rod/Reel size?
If it's a Pflueger...no. Pflueger sizes are 'wonky' 20 = 500 25 = 1000 30 = 2500 35 = 3000 40 = 4000 (only one that 'lines up')

Medium light rod/Reel size?
Ya, a 2500 would work just fine for that. I personally like 1000 size for ML and L rods...keeps the weight of the rig down. My Ned/DS rig is 9.58oz total without line

Aww, Kent. Don't you want to check out a 'real' cold-water bite?

Drought is really bad here
About a 1/2" here - broom took care of the ramp out front. Another light dusting if anything... Ya - that's gonna be fun... Temps still don't know what to do - seeing mid-30s for most of next week after our lovely high of 18 a couple days ago.

U40
To keep it from rotting away. Reason my 50 year old Daiwa 1312 rod handle is still in good shape? Sealed it with Thompsons just after I bought it...reseal it every 4-5 years...though now I use U-40 A cheaper rod that I didn't seal, though I cleaned and rinsed it regularly, DID rot away...chunks of cork falling off, badly stained, etc. I'll take the slight 'plastic' feel (though I don't really notice it) to keep my rods in good shape.

wood for fishing lures
The chemicals in most pine species, cedar among the worst, can cause chronic lung issues under repeated exposure. Wearing a mask when working around any wood dust is a given for me...

Reel Maintenance
I scan the parts diagram - or find one online for a used reel. Print it out enlarged on 11x14 paper...then lay the parts on the diagram as I take it apart.
