  1. Yep - that pretty much covers it.
  2. They're talking 1000yd spools, dude - not 275yd spools If I could be guaranteed that these are true Yo-Zuri, I'd be tempted to get one...I use 4# fairly often as light leaders for bass and mainline for crappie.
  3. I'm just waiting for the temps to drop and all this slush we got turns into hard ice....now where did I put the 5# maul again?
  4. Ya - one last decent day with 31 as the predicted high....then the bottom drops out here.
  5. And to George (Michigander)
  6. Get rid of the 'img' tags if you want the link to work properly.
  7. My favorite launch on Tonka is 2 lanes, no dock - just a 'sea-wall' that the walkway is 3'-4' above water at normal levels My closest launch on Tonka is 2 lanes, no dock The launch on Dutch is 1 narrow lane, no dock The launch on Little Long is 1 narrow lane - but it has a dock! The launch on Whaletail is 1 wide lane (2 if you're very careful) with a dock.
  8. Just got shipping confirmation for my gifting...He should see it by Monday.
  9. I've got a couple things to do to the F-9 - Installing a jack-plate is the big one Otherwise, reel maintenance is about it. Winter is when I concentrate on my other main hobby - scale model building.
  10. I've got a 5" ceramic rod in my box...just in case.
  11. Says who? 1/16oz with #2 hook is my first choice for bobber/jig setup for crappie. If they're being finicky, I'll drop to a 1/32 with #4, but I've also gone up to 1/8 with a #2.
  12. I'll put as many in a compartment as I can fit - and the only trebles I don't cap are those with 'bling' (feathers, marabou, etc)
  13. My Daiwa BCs play well with my Pfluegers...no Shimanos (yet), and my Shimano spinner seems to not mind my Pflueger, Lews and Mitchell reels....so must be a territorial thing.
  14. Up here we call it a Cut. If you had the topography of the land around there, you might see where it originates as well....usually there's a corresponding land feature - at least in natural lakes...which is basically all we have up in Minne-snow-ta.
  15. Maybe down there...
  16. The three Victories and two Mojos I got this year? Went down to FF in Carver to check them out before hand...ya, they carry them there.
  17. I've never had a broken/damaged rod and 16 of the 20 rods I own were purchased online. Course the fact that the places I purchase from always use heavy-walled tubes might have something to do with it.
  18. Maybe bit off more than they could chew considering they acquired Plano last year and Savage Gear's parent this year?
  19. Bait monkey calls for backup...watch out for the bait gorilla...
  20. Taught cursive in school - another 60s elementary student here. But like John, I almost never use it...signing cards and official forms is all.
  21. Nose hooking, I use Owner SSW in #2
  22. And Mike shows again why he's running a great business.
