20 year old boat trailer replacement light assembly
The bolt pattern for trailer lights has been pretty standard for longer than that. I replaced the lights on my near 50 year old Shoreland'r - and the bolts lined right up with the existing holes. Only hole I drilled was for a grommet to feed the wires through the frame rather than above or below it.

USCG rescues boaters from lightning strike.
I'd love to see the clip - but Fox insists that I disable my ****er before they'll let me view it. Uh-Uh - no way...my ****er stays on. Still, that's the type of thing the CG does on a daily basis - A-Jay and Lynn lived it.

Paul's still out there - he's been busy with personal things, but he put a new vid up on his YouTube channel a month ago...I welcomed him 'back' and he tossed a 'Thank You' in return. One I haven't seen in a while is @Michigander - wonder if George is okay.

I'm with 'The Hammer' for the most part - threads that repeat the same question over-and-over drive me nuts...especially when someone starts a duplicate of one that is only a week old. Excuse me? I read most threads, but I'm usually absorbing information...so quite often I just hide quietly in the background and listen intently to the experts.

Trip out today wasn't a total waste - no bass, but this 1.6# hammer-handle kept me from getting skunked. Also the test run of the F-9 went well, got a couple things to tweak, but nothing major.

Joining the 'real' boat crowd
You'd have to haul it up here, Russ...got a semi-disabled wife I also have to help care for, so out-of-state trips are off the books. There's a couple minor things I have to 'fix', but otherwise it performed wonderfully - even with a too long shaft (the outboard is a long shaft, the boat wants a short shaft - adjustable jack plate is on the wish list), she hit 18 mph according to GPS...quite a difference from the 2.8 mph I could max the canoe out at.

Growing up - dad taught me electrical, plumbing, carpentry (both framing and finishing) and masonry. Except for big jobs (garage and porch roof replacement a few years ago) I take care of everything around the house...and the big job 'miss' is mainly because of my age...it's work for kids half my years.- Get down to the ramp...Oh...dang!
And of course - guess what I forgot to do this morning when launching. Yep - forgot the plug.? Hit me when the auto-bilge kept kicking in and spouting water out the side...quick climbed in and put the plug in At least I know the auto-bilge works. ?- Recent BASSMASTER

Ya, that's why the first trip is going to be restricted to Phelps Bay. It's small enough that the shore is never too far away, and it's relatively busy so getting help isn't hard either.- Get down to the ramp...Oh...dang!
I was about to launch the canoe at North Arm one morning last year when the guy ahead of me pushed his boat off the trailer - no rope - then used his phone to deploy and operate the TM to bring it to the 'sea wall'. I said to him, "That's cheating." He replied, "I know, but it's so much easier."- Joining the 'real' boat crowd
That's the plan, dude.- So This Happened Today
