  1. That was me 35-45 years ago. 35mm SLR, several lenses, full darkroom. Made side money in HS, College and after doing shoots for weddings, birthdays, special events...then I got married and my free time for photography went bye-bye. Sold the darkroom and some of my lenses- but kept the camera Anyone want a Minolta XD-5 with a 45mm and an 80-200 zoom with macro?
  2. Or even a pike up here.
  3. Yep - and FedEx as well.
  4. Old reliable Zara Spook (Zara Puppy for finesse topwater, Super Spook for targeting big girls)
  5. Board got put off till next season - it's an optional item, and I ran out of money on the F-9 before I could get one. Once I do have one, the general storage area is long enough for a 30" one. Once the circuit breakers are engaged at the ramp, it'll go on the TM deck over the battery compartment hatch.
  6. Daiwa Fuego CT-HS - $90 - https://www.amazon.com/Daiwa-0001-4482-Fgct100Hs-Fuego-Speed/dp/B06VWMR5S3/ref=sr_1_2?crid=J7MSMKHH62XH&keywords=daiwa+fuego+ct+hs&qid=1657067345&sprefix=daiwa+fuego+ct+hs%2Caps%2C114&sr=8-2 Daiwa Aird-X MH/F - $55 - https://www.amazon.com/Daiwa-AIRX731MHFB-Aird-X-Braiding-x-Casting/dp/B016ORZUZ2/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1UBKFDD4LTF19&keywords=daiwa+aird-x+casting+rod+701mhfb&qid=1657067432&sprefix=daiwa+aird-x+casting+rod+701mhfb%2Caps%2C112&sr=8-1 I'm still using my Aird-X MH/F as my moving baits rod.
  7. Remind me to always make sure I got enough in my tank for a day of fishing. $5.34 at Speedway is bad enough.

Amazon carries quite a selection https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Lunker+City+Slug-Go+Lure&i=sporting&crid=1UL1NAN0XUH53&sprefix=lunker+city+slug-go+lure%2Csporting%2C109&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
  9. Or shore areas by launch ramps and channels Minnetonka has a number of fishing piers - but I've also also shore fished at The Narrows channel, Coffee Bridge channel (by Lord Fletcher's), off the trail on the NW side of Tanager Lake (long hike from the parking on 15), by North Arm ramp and of course the south shore of Black Lake
  10. Also remember that Dobyns 'ups' the wording - a Dobyns MH has the power of most other brand's Medium. Among my Furys - this is how I use them. 705CB - crankbaits 703C - Jerkbaits, lipless/squarebill 704C - Spinners, chatters, jigs, T-Rigs
  11. https://www.ownerhooks.com/product/tear-drop-split-ring/
  12. Despite it being a small boat - 14' - I went with three batteries. 100ah AGM - trolling motor 550cca Group 24m - dedicated starting battery 35ah AGM - everything else No interference, no drops - everything runs like it should.
  13. You are correct. The larger hub of the shallow spool takes the place of the backing...or any line beyond the length of the cast...in a standard spool.
  14. 6.5oz - https://daiwa.us/products/tatula-sv70 Heavier than my Patriarchs which are 6.3oz
  15. Considering his state's record LMB is 11lb4oz - DD bass are very rare up there. ( https://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/7935.html) Catt's suggestion is a good one - a 'big bass' up there I'd say would be around 8# For here - a big bass is 6# - our state record is 8lb15oz.
  16. I'd look at the area I've circled in Green. Nice drop-off with quick access to shallower area for 'hunting'.
  17. Entirely possible - they've only mapped contours for about 42,000 lakes around the world Considering Minnesota alone has 15,000 - there's still a lot of water missing in their charts. Just within 10 miles of me, there's 15 named lakes that haven't been charted yet.
  18. Another source - https://www.marinebio.org/species/bluntnose-stingrays/dasyatis-say/ "they can weigh up to about 20 kg" (44lbs) So no 50lbers - but 40 is possible.
  19. Nope - If it is a bluntnose - they max out in the low to mid 30s Atlantic stingrays can get lots bigger - but the nose is more pointed on them...so I doubt it's an Atlantic.
  20. Best match I can make is a 'Bluntnose Ray' - and based on info, that's a fairly large specimen...near it's normal maximum size. One that big can run upwards of 30lbs. Did it feel that big? Otherwise I'm kind of lost.
  21. Well, you can go here - Navionics ChartViewer - USA - and scroll in to your lake and get the contour map for it that you can save the image of or print it out. Look for humps, bars and flats near or surrounded by deeper water...that's where I'd start.
  22. Stingray weights based on measurements vary from species to species - a pic would help.
  23. Like the guys above - #2 and #3 Ovals on my cranks...but I use Teardrops on my jerks and topwaters...same sizes...'pointy' end is the line tie end.
  24. DINNER! Nice catch there.
