  1. Nike was known to use Miura forged wedges for their tour pros for a short time. Miura also made forged irons for Titleist and TaylorMade. It’s a pretty common rumor that the first set of Nike’s were really tooled by Miura and he played those until switching to the Vapor Pros. Some say his beloved Mizunos were also Miura.
  2. My experiences buying used have been good. It’s usually equipment someone bought and never used so it’s basically brand new OR equipment from real fisherman who take care of their stuff. I’ve enjoyed several good deals from both.
  3. Bluegill imitation for me is all about silver flash and hints of bright colors like chartreuse or orange.
  4. This. Some baits just catch more fish and my time on the water is valuable. A couple $$$ is not going to stop me from buying the baits I have confidence in.
  5. It’d be nice if they shook things up from time to time. Regurgitating the same waters every year gets boring.
  6. I fish swim jigs a lot and typically use two rods depending on bait and cover. 3/8 oz for light cover is thrown on a 6'10 MHF and 1/2 oz for thicker vegetation is thrown on a 7'2 MHF. I've tried every line option and have come back to mono in the 12-17lb range. 30 lb straight braid would be my next choice.
  7. Started with crickets and minnows. First artificial lure was H&H spinnerbaits.

I keep it pretty simple. In stained water throw something with chartreuse. Clear water throw something in the natural shad pattern. Red and black work well here early in the year. Bream patterns with purple and orange work for me in the early summer. But I find that chartreuse and shad work more times than not. Typically I deflect squarebills off hard cover and dig deep cranks into bottom. Vary the retrieve speed and pause/jerk until finding what works. Buy a good lure retriever to save $$$.
  9. I prefer flukes in current around pads.
  10. Most people use beef melt. If using Shad or other fish you need to cut the bladder so they’ll sink. Also most people down here place traps vertically or at least a 45 degree angle with the tops extending out of the water.
  11. I’m amazed at some of your older trucks with low miles. I put 25k/year on mine and don’t leave a 50 mile radius more than a few times a year.
  12. CC points are great. My wife and I have booked 8 round trip flights in the last 3 years for free and are spending a week in Hilton Head this September for free. We pay our cards off each month and have never been charged interest. We have enjoyed quite a few trips we wouldn’t have otherwise been able to afford as easily.
  13. Credit cards have better protection than debit cards due to FCBA. I haven’t used a debit card for a transaction in years. My CC has been compromised 3 times in last 2 years including one being a $7k vacation package to Spain. I haven’t been out a single dollar and have had new cards the next day or so.
  14. I can vouch for the Kistler KLX and Falcon Cara. Both have great actions for all around reaction baits.
  15. Hello from Jackson, MS. MS lakes will humble you quickly but also provide some huge bass at times
  16. My wife loves to catch. Doesn’t matter species or size as long as she’s catching something. But let it go an hour without a fish and she’s ready to head to the house.
  17. Louisiana is sportsman’s paradise. Took a buddy of mine from south GA into Louisiana one day and he was so jacked. “I can catch a fish and shoot a duck on every corner!” And it’s basically true
  18. Based off my production of late I’d say every lure in my tackle box

Academy’s house brands are really nice for the $$$. H2O and Magellan are always bargains.

I drive past Bass Pro and Dicks to go to Academy. That’s where 80% of my fishing purchases come from

Take that $30 and buy a Maglula speed loader. Seriously it’s the best accessory on the market
  23. The amount of money being made on YouTube is just stupid. But we are the real idiots for sitting here complaining and being jealous instead of joining in on the cash grab.

I have gen 1 as well. The $15 talon grips are a must have
