  1. Cashion and Kistler are. I believe the higher end ALX are as well. Falcon Cara line is but they are discontinued I believe
  2. I watch all the Wheeler, Connell, and MDJ videos for comedy. Connell is a riot.
  3. I use Abrazx, Invisx and McCoys. No more braid for me. Like mentioned above, if there’s an inch of slack in your line you won’t feel a thing using braid. FC and mono has much more sensitivity in slack line
  4. I’ve been using a Dobyns 734 for chatterbaits. Can’t remember the last time I lost a fish on that rod.
  5. That rod is blended with fiberglass so it’s certainly not ideal for worm fishing but it will work.
  6. I’m about 30-45 min away from the best two lakes with boat ramps but I live on a nice pond and my parents live 2 miles away on a small lake so I can get my fix rather quick if needed
  7. Im surprised to see so many of you don’t have access to Academy. I figured they had expanded everywhere by now.
  8. Not to mention shortly after removing the ARs they removed a product due to it having a Bible verse on the packaging. They went PC and lost.
  9. I would contact smooth drag and ask. If they don’t have it in stock you can provide the dimensions and they’ll cut you some. info@smoothdrag.com
  10. I picked up a Tatula SV for $99 a while back and didn’t need it. But couldn’t leave it in the store.
  11. 3/8 oz pitching jig in green/brown color
  12. The Lews that I’ve owned had way too much grease from the factory.
  13. The SV TWS is an exceptional reel. My only complaint is the handle knobs but that is just personal preference.
  14. Maybe a dumb question. So you just throw a 12 foot yak in the back of a 5 foot pickup bed with no issues. How heavy are they to lift by yourself? I’ve noticed around here being carried on what looks like trailers specific for kayaks.
  15. I’ve always been intrigued but my fisheries have 12 foot gators everywhere and I just don’t know how I’d feel being that small and close to the water lol.
  16. Lost: crankbaits and jigs Replace: keitech 3.8 fats and SK Menace that I use as trailers.
  17. I bought a Tatula LT and Mojo over a year ago with the same thoughts and fished with it only a couple times. I’ve used it more for bream than bass. Wish I’d have kept my money honestly
  18. My jerkbait rod is a LTB 68MXF and I have no complaints. It allows for sharp twitches but has a soft enough backbone to keep the trebles pinned. I also use the rod for shaky heads and senkos.
  19. I’d start by flushing all of the spool bearings and the tensioner bearing followed by applying a drop of thin oil to each. Adjust the spool tension to where the spool has the slightest bit of play side to side then make a bunch of casts adjusting the brakes to see if that helps. I actually just had a similar situation with a brand new reel and flushing the bearings made a huge difference. Soaked them in acetone overnight and dried them with an air compressor.
  20. Who's making the new blanks? The website just says they are using Toray CF
  21. I know some guys that have had success with them in early spring around emerging pads and grass
  22. Fished a lot of new water and had a slower year but these were my most consistent lures in order: Swim jig - BG color skirt w/ orange head. Keitech BG trailer Chatterbait - GP or white with matching Zako or Rage Craw trailer Stanley 3/8 oz double willow spinnerbait. White/chart with gold and silver blades 3/8 oz flipping jig - GP with Menace trailer Fluke - White or smoke grey Various squarebills
  23. The story has always been the same with Quantum. Several models are absolutely amazing and bullet proof. The rest are junk. I have two Energy e600 that have been workhorses for 15+ years.
  24. None of my other reels have the port so it was definitely a learning experience. I beat by head for an hour trying to figure it out. Kind of a quirky design requiring it to be remove it if you ask me.
  25. Unfortunately there are a lot of folks working the fishing dept that don’t know much. I bought a Daiwa reel from the fishing dept manager at Academy a few months back and the guy didn’t know anything. He couldn’t even figure out which box to grab. He started pulling them out one at a time for me until I told him which it was.
