Underrated lures / companies? Are we paying for names?
H&H has caught many bass and big ones too. My dad caught a 9 pounder on one when I was a kid. I have a slew of them because it’s my wife’s go to bait and she tends to catch everything in the lake, fish or not

BPT Stop 2 - Lake Conroe
The format is great. It allows guys to make a couple mistakes early and rewards those who consistently find fish in the end

The latest sale thread
The closest academy to me doesn’t even stock chronarchs. Or any other high end gear. A Fury and Curado are about the most expensive combo they have available lol. I went to academy and checked to see if they had anything new on sale. They didn’t. But I still spent $48 on full priced items.

How Do you Guys Afford Your Boats?
Debt is not evil but cash flow is king. Every successful business in the world has open lines of credit but their cash flows allow them to manage the debt and use it to increase their cash flows in the future. I refer to it as smart debt. A boat is never going to make you money unless you think you can outfish Jordan Lee lol. But if you buy something reasonable for your level of income then you will be ok. Just keep the future in mind. If you are going to have kids, buy a house, buy new vehicles, etc in the near future then you have to calculate that into your budget. Just because you can afford a monthly note today doesn’t mean you will be able to next year. You also have to take into considerations the opportunity cost of your decisions. Just know when you buy a vehicle of any sort that money is gone. There is no financial ROI. With that being said life is about more than money. You make it to afford things you enjoy and live a happy life.

How do boat fishermen really feel about kayak anglers?
The only time I get annoyed with kayakers is up river when they are in the channel which is only about 15 yards wide. Come around the bend and they’re right in the middle of your lane

Jig
Start light and adjust up. 3/8 is typically ideal for most normal cover.

My academy didn’t have squat. Walked out with a bottle of reel Kleen and rope for $2

Reeling hand?
I reel RH but probably 70% of my casting is backhanded. So my left hand stays palmed on the reel through cast and retrieve. For full length casting I do cast normal though. I just rarely am in a position where it’s needed. The back hand is more efficient and accurate for me

SierbertOutdoors Bladed Jigs
I prefer it over the original zman. Better hook and skirt. Blade action is about the same as far as I can tell.

Bass Pro Tour Live kick off
Cameras and crew aren’t cheap. I certainly understand limiting them at first. Maybe they plan to expand their crew if they hit the right bottom line
