  1. You can actually get a kistler Helium 3 for $200 right now with promo code MY10PERCENT
  2. My humble opinion is those shouldn’t even be in the same category. I own both and the MB is twice the reel.
  3. Ahh you caught me before I caught my typo. I should probably start proof reading them before I post instead of after! The area affected is less than 5 acres and is in a back part of the bay that’s naturally closed off from the rest. The closed off area is several hundred acres and the current flows into it from the main lake. So I’m hoping there will not be any negative effects in my fishing spots. But I’ve never experienced post herbicide treatments before. You could very well be correct. The plant is called Giant Salvinia
  4. That very thing is happening on my local lake. Some type of invasive grass has been found in one of the better fishing areas and it was completely closed off to the public in October and won’t open until May. I can’t wait to be at the ramp as soon as it opens.
  5. My vote is the LFS. I own the Fuego too but haven’t really cared for it. Not as smooth or ergodynamic as the Lews
  6. Selling rods is tricky due to shipping. USPS priority is your best bet as a standard tube costs $15 or so to ship priority. But be aware they use a formula and it’s not exact. I’ve taken the same tube to 3 different USPS offices and received 3 different prices. It all depends on the person doing the measuring. It’s a pain and you’re much better off selling it locally. Craigslist and FB marketplace are your friend. You will never recoup your investment but it’s better than just having gear laying around taking up space. Fishing gear depreciates quickly
  7. Nothing paranormal while fishing. Have had a few of those experiences though and am not a fan I will say that I’ve heard some scary noises at night. Cougars will make you crap your pants real quick. We had a red wolve circle our tent one night. At one point his nose was a foot from mine. Just a thin tent between us. That wasn’t pleasurable
  8. I started fishing Texas rigged worms and lizards when I was about 12. Culprit 7.5 is still my go to. I’ve prob caught 500 bass on the black and silver culprit
  9. I use a St. Croix LTB 6’8” medium extra fast. Fast tip allows for good twitch and movement but the rod has enough flex to stay pinned. Jerkbaits are one lure you’ll find people use rods all over the spectrum. Short length and a mediumish power are a must to me though
  10. I have a ALX Ikos MH and H3 H. I prefer the H3. It’s lighter and feels better to me. But it’s also a nicer rod so it should. I’ve never handled a Zolo. My light t-rig rod is a Falcon Cara head turner.

I cut the tip off all of my trailers even when not necessarily wanting to shorten the bait. Just prefer the flat tip connecting to the jig head
  12. They stay active year round. But will slow down in winter
  13. I don’t unless the water is super stained. In those situations my thought process is it gives the bass a “target” as well as just more vibrations. When I do it’s just a cheap zoom grub in a bright chartreuse or white.
  14. Unless you do a lot of deep cranking I’d keep 3 and 4. Much more versatile.
  15. I enjoy the escape and challenge. The adrenaline of hooking into the unknown is a nice addition.
  16. The LFS can be found new on eBay for $70. At that price it’s a good reel.
  17. It was great line in the late 90s and early 2000s then randomly started having issues with it around 2005. Haven’t used it since.
  18. This country no longer operates on good faith anymore. Established companies offering long warranties will result in smaller black numbers and larger reds. In today’s market long warranties are often a marketing gimmick to help emerging companies increase sales.
  19. Amazon has several of their McCoy Mean Green lines on sale. Just got 15 lb and 8 for 50% off
  20. Not that I know of
  21. They respond to emails within a day and will PayPal you an invoice
  22. Kistlers website. They are $150 plus MY10PERCENT gets it to 135
  23. Noticed that one as well. Good deal
  24. Last week I bought a Helium 3 7’3” Heavy for $197 and today bought a Tatula SV for $143. Solid deals to be had out there
  25. Does that mean ebay will have 20% off Friday?
