  1. You can get a kistler mag 2 for $135 right now after using the additional 10% off code. Then pair that up with a tatula ct or Lews mb.
  2. I picked up the RG on sale for $30 not too long ago. It’s still just sitting around since I haven’t bought a rod yet though. It’s a bit on the heavier side but is really smooth out of the packaging. I ordered a set of carbon drag for it but haven’t put them in yet.
  3. You must’ve cleared them out. Barely had anything at 6
  4. Lost my PB at the boat after my father missed the lip twice. It was in the 10-11 lb range. We didn’t bring the net because we only had about an hour of fishing time that day. He felt 10x worse than I did of course. Didn’t get the fish but it was a hell of a battle and still a fond memory
  5. Quantum has always been like that. You get what you pay for with them. Their higher end reels have always been good to me. I still throw two energys that I’ve had since the early 2000s
  6. Falcon Bucoo has a 5’6” Medium Moderate in their Peacock series
  7. I think it would depend on the size of braid and leader. I had 30 lb braid and 12 lb mono leaders. I never noticed any issues with distance. But I ultimately ended up ditching the braid. The guides aren’t what I consider true micro but they are right on the edge of being so. If you were using 50 lb braid I think it would possibly cause some issues. If you are set on braid to leader it may not be the best option. There are just so many great options at that price point
  8. From my experience with the Cara it will pass most leader knots but it’s certainly not “smooth” doing so. You get a noticeable glide clank and it will hang up some when pitching.
  9. Code “MY10PERCENT” will bring the helium down to $199
  10. You can use code “MY10PERCENT” and get an addition 10% off
  11. My favorite t-rig rod is the Falcon Cara. It’s around $230. They just brought the Expert series back at $199.
  12. Go to seibert outdoors and grab their brush jig in different sizes and colors.
  13. Not going to knock someone for wanting to make a few bucks. You won’t find me buying their products though. Dicks does a nice job staying with the trends. Good, bad, and annoying.
  14. I owned a couple of those old Pfluegers as well. One bit the dust. The other is my spare that I leave at my parents lake house. It still casts crankbaits a country mile
  15. I’m waiting for the new Falcon Lowrider to come out next month

I like throwing them around pads early in the year alternating with a fluke. Usually one will work
  17. Depends on the wind. If it’s blowing hard on a cold day I’m not going outside.
  18. BPS Carbonlite 2.0 rods and reels on sale for $79.99 starting tomorrow
  19. GP is my top producing Senko color. It is also my favorite lizard color in the spring. Black/silver Culprit has consistently been my top producing worm for 15 years Anything dark green, watermelon, brown, purple, or black is pretty solid for me.
  20. Spent the last week in the Denver area. Several lakes are closing for the season Wednesday. I actually felt bad for the few guys out there squeezing the last weekend. I couldn’t imagine only being allowed to fish 6 months of the year
  21. Walked into an Orvis the other day and they had several sales going on
  22. Been rough in Mississippi as well. The Shad schools this year are insane. They are literally everywhere you look which has the bass spread out and hard to locate in numbers. Only success I’ve had lately is focusing on spots sitting 5-8 feet at points up river.
  23. I’m in one of those situations right now where there are literally Shad schools everywhere you look. Main lake, rivers, sloughs, etc. I’ve never seen it like this. The bass are spread all over the place. It’s made it tough locating and staying on good fish. Honestly I’ve had more success ignoring the school altogether than finding them pinned to a bank or structure. It’s just crazy
