  1. Nice Fish Corey, Congrats! GO BIG RED
  2. Hey Catt, Thank the Huskers AD Peterson for Bo Pelini. He should be our head coach. If we see LSU I'm thrilled and somewhere warm in Jan. GO BIG RED
  3. Before we go giving in BCS bowls away both of these teams have to play my beloved Huskers. I can't wait for Saturday Nebraska/ Nevada for our starter. But the pic below shows where I will be on the 15th and every home game, but the 15th in particular. My Nephew is getting married that day and my sister isn't happy with me. I say dumb planning on their part. Oh well send a big gift as a guilt offering and as always GO BIG RED!!!
  4. I ran out of juice the 1st time on Fork and a couple more times on small lakes in Nebraska. I usually only run the outboard for 5 to 10 min once or twice a day. The service people said without charging I was asking to much of it. Rod
  5. That is what I was told when I bought my new Stratos by the Sales person. He was wrong!!! Buy a 3 bank it sucks to have to disconnect the crank to to start off the trolling batteries. You have depth finders, radio whether on or off, lights, ariators(sp), taking juice. My 2 bank is for sale and I'm buying a 3 bank. GO BIG RED
  6. SDAKHUSKER, :) Well Done. I can't wait to fish this event next year. GO BIG RED
  7. LOL, will be used again! GO BIG RED
  8. Thanks Katt & Dan, Katt that reminded me of my favorite uncle when I was a kid growing up in Montana. We were camping and he had had to much to drink. Had his Fly Rod, Creel and a 6 pack heading out in a downpour. My mother yelled, "Johnny it's raining to hard to fish", and with his inebriated smile and slurred words he said "the fish are already wet anyway" and proceeded to the creek. Funny memory, thanks. GO BIG RED
  9. Nice Job on both accounts. What a nice reward for your good deed. GO BIG RED
  10. You may only be 5'2" but I bet you have the hairiest chest in the 8th grade. LOL And I hear your beloved Ron Prince Like short guys. I hate to admit it but I've acquired a taste for half and half over the last year or so. Started with that crap they call coffee at Starbucks; figured if I just spent "fourbucks" I wasn't going to waste it. Now I maybe getting a little lite in my waders. GO BIG RED
  11. Thanks Kelley, I hadn't been in a rain like that since Lake Fork the first day we were there. That one lasted an hour this was all night long and on and off the next. By the way, how long into the winter can we get on the power plant lakes? GO BIG RED
  12. I couldn't believe the clarity of the lake. It was so impressive to handle FLOOD water and still be fishable. It also surprised me with the quality. 8 of the 15 fish I took were between 2.5 and 3lbs. GO BIG RED
  13. Hi all, We woke up on Thursday and knew the forecast was against us. However we probably didn't know what the night had instore for us, it rain between 5" and 6". We fished until the lightning started and the men, boats and tackle were soaked. We caught four bass in less than 30 minutes then went to the rooms and played cards. The first fish of the night was so cool. We were unloading our boats and I was waiting for my buddy when I threw a 7" *** Wacky Style under a dock and bam 1st cast 4lb + bass. The next morning we fought the rain but no lighting. We boated over 40 bass between 7am and 2pm. I couldn't believe it. What a lake and what a trip. Notice the MegaStrike Cavitron Buzz Bait This is the outcome of a down pour.
  14. I believe they have to. In my opinion its why Wacky Style has been my most successful rig this year. I think it's overlooked by a lot of fisherman. GO BIG RED
  15. I have a BPS and a Cabela's in town. GO BIG RED
  16. RWHusker. replied to Bryant.'s topic in Fishing Reports
Great outing, I would love to learn the night bite. GO BIG RED
  17. Don't forget to throw a few trick sticks/senkos. They're cheap and the Northern dig them. GO BIG RED
  18. I have the Berkley 50# and I wish I would have spent a little more money on one of the lip grabbing models. I too would appreciate some input. GO BIG RED
  19. I couldn't agree more RW. We have such an awesome group of sponsors. I have to admit I have purchased an item or 2 I don't really use but far and away my experience with Sponsors has been awesome. When I calculate into it that they're the reason I get my BR education for free it a tri-fecta. I encourage all of our membership to call Megastrike and some of the other sponsors and I'm sure you'll be as impressed as I have been. Thanks, GO BIG RED
  20. Well done! GO BIG RED
  21. Good Luck Chris, Don't forget the Trick Sticks, we have had great luck with the northerns in Minnesoat and in Nebraska fishing trick sticks, (Senko's) for bass. GO BIG RED
  22. WOW!!! I made an order with Bobby at Megastrike. l Jigs, Buzz Baits and Megastrike. What I received was all of what I ordered with a few more, an extra tube of MegaStrike and the coolest hat, 2 instructional DVD's and a instructional book by Lee Bailey. I felt like a kid at Christmas. Thank you Bobby for the personal service and your generousity. I can't wait to report back with how the lures and jig work and give Megastrike a shot on all my plastics. Hopefully this will take the place of Spike It and cleaning chartruse dye off my boat. Thanks Again and as always GO BIG RED
  23. Thanks Kyle, I was by myself and decided I wanted to hunt larger fish so went back to Zorinsky. If my son is with me I try to go to Prairie View or Walnut to help keep the numbers up. Boy I would like to get some confidence back in Zorinsky as it is so close to home. GO BIG RED
  24. Well theres at least 3 largemouth left in Zorinsky. I ended up with 3 with 2 of those being very quality fish. The first was 2.5lbs 17" and no pic. LOL, laid her down by my rod handle to grab a pic and 2 flops later she was in the lake and I had no pic. The last fish of the night went 19.5" and touch under or over 4lbs, the digital never gave a constant reading. I caught her on a 7", watermelon/red *** ***, wacky style with both ends dipped in Spike It. Was encouraging to catch a couple of good ones again. GO BIG RED
  25. Wouldn't that be a caddy? Come to think of it that's not a bad idea, a caddie that runs the trolling motor. Muddy we may be on to something for those lake fork rentals. GO BIG RED
