Old Plastics
No need to toss them. Lay them on a paper towel. Place a second towel on top of them and roll them back and forth. You might need a second towel, depending on how much oil is on them. Bag them in sandwich bags when they're dry. You can also add some salt to them if you want, before bagging them.

Clear or Translucent Topwaters
What size did you get? The 90's had some problems.

Seaguar Finesse FC, Invizx, or Sunline Super FC Sniper for finesse fishing
Check this out. Not a good enough argument for spending a lot more for leader material https://www.saltstrong.com/articles/fluorocarbon-leader-vs-main-line/

Clear or Translucent Topwaters
For those of you who like/use clear baits, have you thought of buying unpainted blank lures? They sell blanks for a number of lures. All you need it a couple of treble hooks. The blanks are only a couple of dollars

Spinnerbait/Buzzbait storage?
Go to your local Dollar Tree or .99 store. Get a CD album. You can put a spinner bait in each sleeve and it will fold fairly flat.

Lake Chabot
Don't be discouraged, Chabot is an tough lake to fish. The bass don't have to eat often as they have all the planter trout they want. Try flipping a jig or creature bait in the tule berms next to shore. you might also try a 6 or 8" Huddleston swim bait. You won't get many bites but you have a chance of getting a big one. For other lakes, try the quarry lakes in Pleasanton or Shinn pond in Fremont. There's a lot of bass in Don Castro in Castro Valley too. Hope this helps

No braid, no way.
It looks like this line is designed more for saltwater fishing. They say you don't get the wind knots because the line is firm. IMO, firm means stiff. Not what I want in a braided line. I would have to see/feel the line before I bought any

No braid, no way.
The first thing I would do is to make sure your hooks are sharp.

Direction of Hook
I'm sure I'm missing something but seeing that you put the hook thru the bait, what purpose do the O rings serve? Couldn't you fish the bait without the O rings?

Owner Swing Blade
kinda pricey, but what isn't nowadays?

Can anyone recommend a quality PFD?
One thing to remember, the self inflatable vests DO NOT meet USCG reuqirements unless they are being worm. If you are approached and you aren't wearing it, it is NOT considered a life jacket.

Minn Kota Ulterra acting funny
If it's under warranty, call/take it to an authorized Minnkota repair shop. A call to the shop might get you the answer/fix you need.

Solid head tubes?
Cutting off a piece would be your least expensive option

Solid head tubes?
If you already have a mold, use a shorter spline. Any of the companies that sell the molds should be able to make one for you

weightless wacky rigged senko: do you set the hook?
Circle hooks have been around a long time but are fairly new to bass fishing. If you set the hook, you decrease your chances of hooking the fish. You're right, when you get bit, just reel until you feel the pressure of the fish and lift the rod.

Shimano Curado DC PROBLEMS

Lowrance trolling motor
Has anyone heard anything about a release date for the Lowrance trolling motor? There's hardly any info online about them.

I would call an authorized repair center before taking it in. Hopefully, they can remedy the problem over the phone

G Loomis Spin Jig Rods.... Worth it?
I use a Loomis IMX SJR 781 for my finesse fishing. I'm using heads ranging from 1/32 up the 1/8. IMO this is the perfect rod as the softer tip works for the reel set hook sets I use. 14 lb braid/ 4 lb fluor combo on a Shimano Stradic Ci4 1000 lets me make long casts.

NBA season starts tonight
To compete in today's NBA, a team needs at a minimum, 3 All Stars and a good supporting cast. It's hard to compete with a team, Golden State, who can always have at least 2 All Starts on the floor at any given time

NBA season starts tonight
I hope Golden State doesn't get bored with the regular season again. They can't expect to turn it on whenever they want to. But then again, it's a long season and it's 28 extra games if every playoff series goes 7 game.
