  1. That is very true. But Ive never been able to get a 1 week turnaround on new tooling ?
  2. I have been listening to Minor Threat and Rudimentary Peni all week at work...lol Do these count as golden age?
  3. MAN replied to MAN's topic in Fishing Tackle
If you are interested in trades let me know.
  4. I am strangely fascinated with this lure that I stumbled across while shopping at a local antique store. I of course bought that one. What an out of the box attempt for Rebel. Not often you see a big name venture that far out and attempt something that different. They must have been short lived becouse I don't recall seeing these in stores. Anyways....now I must collect them all! Ebay awaits!
  5. I use this style plastic pegboard that already has spacers built in to the back to distance it from the wall so you can insert hangers. They come in 1ft x 1t peices so you use as little or much as needed to cover your area https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-16-in-x-16-in-Interconnecting-Plastic-Pegboard-in-Black-50-lbs-17961/202249707
  6. and patience.....lots and lots of patience.
  7. Are you saying the magnetic coating is obsolete as it would still interact via the Lenz Effect?
  8. My reels with aluminum spools have a very thin magnetized coating on the left side of the spool to interact with the brakes. Not quite sure if that the same thing you are describing or different?
  9. You look a bit young in your avatar. Your going to see a TON of new rod technology in your lifetime and there will be no way you will/should limit yourself to only pre-'21 era rods for the rest of your life.
  10. I'm in the same boat, 8 months into the new year and haven't tossed a jig yet. Always got one with me, just never sees the light of day
  11. The Zillion SV has an aluminum handle. Bend it back and keep fishing.
  12. Ha! Me to. So I went home and made my own and brought it to the pier the next trip out with my co-workers just out of amusement if things were slow. We were not catching anything so I tossed it out and hooked a huge fish right away. He absolutely slammed it and headed out for deeper water never stopping. Crushed my plastic bottle when it got to the end and snapped my knot. (I got spooled). Darndest thing ever.
  13. I started off a simple man with a rod or two for all Went extreme and topped 40 rods easy Back to simple man
  14. Put me in the black & blue corner.
  15. I don't see that part available anywhere at the moment. Gonna be a tough one
  16. Woops sorry...Shimano's world minnow.
  17. I walked the show 5 times to double triple check that i didnt miss anything. There was only 1 lure i saw that had new innovation. All the rest was well...
  18. That one has always thrown me for loop. And on top of that the method allowed for catching them is snagging. Imagine all the ones that are snagged in vital areas and break free only to suffer and later die. One day I hope to see one of those amazing fish.
  19. I think there has been a lot of emphasis as of late on doing a better job at keeping bass alive and healthy during tournaments for safe release. Whether it is improvements in live wells with better oxygen systems or photo only tourneys. There will always be the fringe element and there is nothing you can do about it. Don't let it ruin your nice day out on the water. Improving live release counts is not going un-noticed by any means if you follow the industry. We are so much better than where we were 20-30 -40 years ago. I think that is the best thing to remember when you come across this now rare type of situation.
  20. I use these Bass Assasins to mimick little mosquito minnows if I am going to use a lure. 95% of the time I will just bring a little dip net catch them and put them under a cork. They are the easiest minnow to catch in the world.
  21. Curious your thoughts on the Cahsion after use
  22. I don't see anything new. Where is all the innovation gone in the fishing industry?
  23. Thats a new one. Sorry but looks you got a lemon. Can happen in any rod.
