ICAST 2021
I received the attendee list and was quite surprised at the amount that were still attending. For me the biggest change will be almost no overseas vendors coming this time. Thats really the majority of my time there. So looks like 3 days of open walking this time. I better get some new inserts for my shoes.

That’s One Big Bait!
Do you guys think the bass actually knows what he is eating or are these rats getting reaction strikes?

What’s wrong with me! No motivation to go fishing?
I get the same thing from time to time especially when I am fishing the same holes. What cures it for me is targeting different species. If I get burned out on bass, the next week I am out there with different gear trying to catch a nice sized gar, blue cat, tilapia or carp. All require some different form of fishing. Eventually I'm wanting to target bass again..and the cycle continues. I have a somewhat "unlucky" position of being in the fishing development industry and dealing with rods, reels and lures from 8-5, 40hrs a week. So there is little to no excitement left from getting any sort of new equipment to cure the fishing burn out. I know that may come across a cocky but I truly do miss the days when I would get giddy as hell researching, prepping and purchasing a new reel or rod and then fishing with it. I guess there are trade offs in everything.

Issues with Heddon spook
Contact Heddon or the retailer and I am sure you will receive replacements asap. If the Heddon is still in the sealed package with just 1 hook....there are actually folks who collect that type of stuff.

If you could have any baitcasting reel
Since you didn't specify low profile only...I would get a Shimano Calcutta. Reason: I currently do not own anything that I think will still be in working order to pass down to my kids. One day soon I hope to be able to afford a nice Calcutta and put some mileage and memories on it in preparation to be passed down.

Has anyone found they are happy with non high end rods and reels
I have pretty much given away all my high end rods. Thinking about consolidating my whole assortment to just 4 Cherrywood rods to do everything. M (spinning, casting), MH and H (casting). While that may not seem crazy, I am going from 40+ Combo's...to 4, so its downright insane.

Waterproof Baitcaster?
I don't think that dude is waterproof. It has "Ocean Armor" corrosion protection but is not waterproof.

Are Bass Pro brand rods and reels any good?
I have an JM carbonlight baitcaster and its been wonderful. Doyo does not make all of Bass Pro's baitcasters.

How I relax on the bank after a good day of bassing
I get the exact same excitement watching that bobber bounce around and go under as feeling the thump on my senko and setting the hook.

How To Clean & Lube Bait Cast Reel 6 - Pin Centrifugal Brake System ?
In my personal opinion you should not lube the brake drum if you want the brakes to do their job properly. Clean-yes Lube-no.
