at first i would have guessed a nichols jt kenny grass wizard because of the jighead mold around with weed guard, but the more i look at it the head looks completely different

I have a sneaky suspicion that MLF broadcast's are slightly delayed and feeds are notified when an angler hooks up. 99% of the time when they "check in" with an angler who has a camera on their boat, that said angler all of a sudden hooks up with a fish lol. it's like clockwork every time.

lots of smaller bags weighing in, with a few decent ones so far. big bag right now is 28lb 10oz. with a 9+ pound kicker

i keep going back and forth but i feel like i should stick with my gut

i believe last boat is due in around 5pm - crazy!

i throw most of my jigs on a daiwa tatula 7'1 heavy specified "jig" rod. it definitely fishes more like a medium heavy in my personal opinion

weightless usually 3-12'. anything deeper i get impatient and throw it neko style with a super light nail weight. you'd be surprised how much faster the fall is compared to weightless with a 1/32 or 3/64 oz. nail weight

depends on my "reason" for fishing on a particular outing. if i'm fishing a tournament, my goal is always to catch a limit. i feel if i do not catch a limit, i was not successful in meeting my goal. fun fishing is a different story and my goal is always to just try to enjoy the outdoors and to catch a fish, no matter the size or numbers

i'm biased to daiwa rods and reels.. you can call me a snob. i'm also biased to always having a dropshot tied on. i refuse to get skunked and i'll catch a dang crappie, perch, bluegill, or rockbass before i leave if need be
