  1. I've fished day & night around them in jons here in Ga. all my life and never had a problem. With that said it's a wild animal so I do carry gator repellant.
  2. No rituals or lucky charms for me. I rely on pure skill and sometimes it works.
  3. But is the fan pulling or pushing the air? ?
  4. I'll dip stiff swimbait tails in boiling water to soften them a bit. If you have enough stock in the size/color you need it's worth trying.
  5. All day deep cranking or fast working jerkbaits can be fatiguing but nothing compares to the big swimbaits with trebles when the Eel grass is floating all over the lake. 8 or 9 cast out of every 10 can be fouled at times and it's rough making a 65 yard cast to have to reel it in after 2 handle turns to clear it.
  6. The 1/16 & 1/8 oz in Dill Pickle with the last 1"- 1 & 1/4" tail of a torn up Finesse or Trickworm in black as a trailer is almost like cheating. Works equally well on Spots and LM.
  7. Carbonlite 6'9" Medium light Fast/ Stradic 1000 / KastPro 13x 8 lb Finesse braid in HiViz white to 10lb Red Label FC leader
  8. A couple of my better producing bigger worms are the SK Bullworm & Yum Mighty Worm. I fish the lightest tungsten worm weight(never pegged) that I can maintain bottom contact which is never more than 3/8 oz and typically 1/8 & 3/16. I fish the big worms slow to slower as big fish are more deliberate and cautious.
  9. I agree with the above post. DO IT! I really like the Renegade 1875 but the closest dealer is a four hour drive. They had me at 9'6" rod storage but a 1,000 plus mile drive to get a problem sorted out ain't happening.
  10. Excellent! But figuring out and catching bass after bass is kinda like putting the last piece of a puzzle in, the challenge of the hunt is over.? But seriously those amazing rare days are not soon forgot.
  11. Caught 4 of these beast and a crazy bream at my pond yesterday evening in about 20 minutes on a 1/8 Red SK spinnerbait. Burning it just under the surface on my Curado 70 K MGL/Zodias 6'10" Medium/10 lb Red Label FC.
  12. Zoom Super Fluke in Bluegill or Bluegill Flash weightless seems appropriate in that scenario or a Jackall Gantarel Jr.
  13. The Curado 70 K MGL would work nicely for the dock fishing from your kayak.
  14. Yes sir we're getting plenty of rain. I'm headed to a PFA tomorrow no matter what the rain does and I'm not very far from you. Being the nice guy I am and already fishing a couple 200K's I'll be glad to break that thing in for you.? They're fine reels as long as you don't try to use it as a BFS.
  15. I've got $500 in Super Flukes
  16. Green Pumpkin Goby has surprised me in it's effectiveness on our Spots
  17. I always net them unless bank fishing and then I ease them up to the edge of the bank before lipping them. At least you got to fight her.
  18. Black Trickworm on a Buckeye Spot Remover Pro jighead
  19. Spook or R2S Rover Super Fluke CC Spoon in 3/8 & 1/2oz
  20. $25 Berkley Cherrywood 5'6" Medium. I like it, it works.
