What's your bass fishing superpower?
Boat control keeping my guest and myself in the correct position.

Wanna built a boat?
What ever you wind up doing be sure that you get compatible equipment. That can save you hundreds of dollars later on. Get electronics that are Ethernet capable, Garmin, Hummingbird, Lowrance (what you like best). Get a trolling motor that at least has spot lock and don’t scrimp on the power. Most trolling motors don’t do well over time if run distances on high. If I were doing what you are I would start with the gps/sonar brand that I like then get the rest of the stuff that works with it.

Seaguar Flurocarbon Broke??
3 questions: #1 how long have you had it, #2 what pound test is it and #3 how many cast did you make before the incident?

Okuma Guide Select B Swimbait Rods / A-Rig Rod Discussion
What helps me is a lower gear ratio reel. I keep some 5:1 reels just for this.

Giving back
I kind of know where you have been jb. My daughter is in chemo right now with aggressive breast cancer. Congrats to your survivor wife.

Plastic interaction question . . .
Elaztech (Zman baits) reacts to polyvinyl chloride (pvc) which is what most of our plastic baits and storage boxes are made from.

Safety cables vs chains?
I like and use cables. I also cross them to keep the tongue up in case of an emergency.

Lowe Stinger 195
The weight of them might be significant with that boat. I had Power Poles for a while. They were more of a problem than a help so I sold them. With spot lock they aren’t necessary. I held in 20 mph wind yesterday with spot lock and with the jog feature was able to quickly change positions.

Lowe Stinger 195
I think you will enjoy that boat. I had a 180 for several years. It was a good solid boat.

Looking for on-boat Rod storage ideas
The bac rac is still available. I bought one of the original models for guests and it gets used every week. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Bac_Rac_Rod_Rack/descpage-BACRACK.html

Looking for on-boat Rod storage ideas
The rod locker idea would give you good storage and a much larger fishing deck.

Old dog, new tricks
Late in life I have found that milk and ice cream make me cough so I have basically quit them.

Do you still have OG reels in your rotation?
I’m a Shimano fan and used to sell my bait casters every time they introduced a new model. That was until the Curado E came along. Those were the first ones that I didn’t need to super tune. I have kept all of them and use some of them every trip.

Suffix braid?
I do this at the bench. Lighters haven’t worked well for me. I have scissors like AJs but when I cut the braid I get frizzies on the tag and with my ADDHS OCD it drives me nuts.

Suffix braid?
Sorry. It’s 832 and I was trying to burn it next to the Rizzuto finish on my fg knot.

Suffix braid?
I recently got some for a Ned application. I tied a leader with the fg knot and I couldn’t get my Berkley hot knife to burn through it. It would burn most but not all the way through. I had to cut it with scissors . What’s in that stuff that won’t burn?

Meat grinder....
Go for it. When I deer hunted I had a grinder and slicer. When I stopped hunting I gave them to my grandson. He his wife and his dad hunt so the stuff is getting plenty of use.

BPS fishing master catalog 2025
That is the Catalog Outlet store. They do have some good overstock prices but it used to be better than it is now.

BPS fishing master catalog 2025
Mine came. I may look at it if we get snowed in. They aren’t competitive on lots of stuff and their name brand sales are usually regular price unless it is a model close out.

Moving to Missouri Next Year
When you get moved let us know where you are going to live. That way I can get you to the best launch areas.

One ‘new to me’ plastic for next year- what are you recommending?
I’m a big fan of Elaztech, mostly, TRDs and Zinkerzs.
