I would take the Bass Cat. I have spent many hours in a Panterra II they ride and fish well. You might also be able to get parts for the Bass Cat since they are still in business.

Pitzen is the only knot one needs. It is one step less than SDJ and can be tied while wearing gloves. It takes just a few seconds to tie.

I fish standing timber mainly with a shaky or Ned.

You said Lowrance HDS. What generation 1, 2, or 3 ? That will make a difference in value.

I was just in the Bass Pro Catalog Outlet in Springfield, MO where they sell returned refurbished reels. There was a big table of Lews reels and not one Shimano in the store.

It doesn’t matter what they do to your boat to fix it. That never should have happened. I’d be wanting everything free.

I just got my Barlow’s catalogue. Victory is now making the weedless Ned hook in several sizes.

My daughter had laser surgery and it was great for several years. She now wears contacts when working and glasses when not. I started wearing glasses in high school. I wore them until after college. Then around forty I needed them again. I wore transition lenses and they worked great. Then I developed cataracts. With the surgery I had one eye slightly far sighted and the other one slightly near sighted. They are in year 12. I only need readers for up close work and have saved over $5000 in glasses.

Did you look on their site under lure making, hooks for do-it molds?

I have fluorocarbon 12# on two of mine that I use for shaky. I have 6# Yozuri hybrid on the other one for Ned rigs.

It may be possible for some but definitely not me.

I’ve tried most of the styles out there. I have bought my own mold and use the Victory hooks for an ewg weedless Ned rig. No glue is needed and it comes through stuff that other styles just can’t. BRB check your pm.

I didn’t even contact Shorty’s because I don’t need a 1000 of that hook.

6317 BN is the hook number. I got mine from Zeiner’s in Wichita KS. You don’t have to have a Midwest finesse ewg mold. You can modify most any mold. It just has to be ground down to where the hook fits before the bend. I used my old Midwest finesse mold and had a guy at a machine shop grind it. I didn’t want the keepers and wasn’t sure how the hook eye would fit so I used high temp silicone to fill in some voids.

I sent several reels to a guy to be cleaned, super tuned and install ceramic bearings. I didn’t see much difference. I’d just put good abec bearings in.

I fell heir to a box of jerk baits and 2 of these were in it. It has no markings.

Those look like they would get the job done. I don’t have those kinds of knives but I keep a folding knife and a fillet knife in the boat and carry my Uncle Henry Rancher and a Swiss army knife all the time.
