The lakes that I fish are Corps of Engineers lakes. They are for flood control but have many launch ramps. Most of them have courtesy docks. They vary in size from a single lane to 4 lanes. Some are good some are not. I make my choice depending on the season and the weather.

Do not use your existing toaster oven. The one that I use cost me $2 in a garage sale. I’ve done thousands of jigs in it. Look for one in a flea market or pawn shop.

I use braid. I’m partial to Power Pro white. I normally use 8/1 but can’t find it so I bought 10/2. It hasn’t made any difference. I have tried it with and without leaders. I can’t tell any difference so I ditched the leaders.

I’ve found that it is very hard to “catch the other guy’s fish” so it doesn’t matter what I tell people. What works many times is just for the moment anyway. For example, yesterday I was fishing in the back of a friend’s boat and getting waxed. We were both throwing TRDs. So I started changing colors. The 6th color (Alabama craw) got me 7 to his one in less than an hour. It has never worked in that area before and may not again. I’ll not only tell you I will give you some if you want them.

My Z20 is being upgraded at the Nitro factory. It had gel coat blisters which are being covered by warranty. It has been gone for six weeks.

I keep the rods that I plan to use in the boat rod lockers. I pull the boat with a 2020 Chevy 1500.

I don’t understand your logic on injection vs hand poured and stiffness. Will you please elaborate?

I fish the same kind of stuff on Table Rock. Shaky and Ned with fluorocarbon line are my main items.

I’m a fan of living rubber. I use 40 strand and 60 strand. I use them full and finesse cut.

You asked for opinions. Here’s mine. I used it for quite a while with a love/hate relationship. It turned to hate so I went to straight fluorocarbon line. I haven’t missed it one bit.

I have used acetone on bearings but prefer naptha.

I have one and used to have two. It is my least favorite rod for top water.

They are all correct. When you go from imx to imx pro to glx etc. the stiffness is not the same with corresponding numbers.

I’d spread them out on towels and let them dry.

You might try JB Weld. It is great stuff.

I fished in a boat with them. At the end of the day my back didn’t hurt. This is not a normal thing for me. I’m wondering if it was a fluke or if I need to buy one. Anyone have experience with them?

When we built this house I had a closet made for extra rods. What ever isn’t in the boat gets put in the closet. I have never stored them in the house.

For me a Zinkerz or Zero fished shaky on a variety of heads weights on my custom 7.5’ shaky rod with a Curado 70 and 12# fluorocarbon line produced at least 2-1 over anything else.
