Most versatile rod length?
With the exception of my musky rods all of my spinning and baitcasting rods are from 6'6" - 7'2". If I'm shore fishing I like 6'6"-6'10". In a boat it doesn't really matter. For transportation purposes (I drive a GMC Terrain) anything over 6'10" has to go in the front seat. My favorite "all around" length is 6'6"-6'10".

Thanks @Jigfishn10. It's been tough.

The best reel brand
I use spinning reels for most of my fishing. Almost all of my spinning reels are Shimano. I do have a couple of Daiwa spinning reels on my lower end "borrow" rods (Revos and Fuego). I have used some model of a Stradic for the last 20+ years and they have never let me down. I did try the Ballistic a couple of years ago and it just wasn't for me. I have friends that use Pflueger spinning reels and they have been happy with them. The nice thing about Shimano or Daiwa is parts availability.

New St Croix rod
I too have been using SC rods for a long times and have never been disappointed in their quality and CS.

Best spinning reel around $200 dollars or less
I agree with other posters either the Stradic or Vanford. Had the Ballistic for one weekend and returned it. Just my experience and I'm not bashing Daiwa as I line the Revros and Fuego.

Need a new Senko rod - Considering a St Croix Mojo Bass medium-fast 7' spinning rod. Your thought?
I agree with @Bluebasser86. I have the MB 6'8" M/XF "Wacky Style" rod and it is excellent for throwing senkos!

Dobyn's Fury or Lew's KVD
The Mojo Bass is a much better rod than the Bass X. The rod blank is SCIII which is like the AVID. I tried the Dobyn's Fury and was not at all impressed. It reminded me of the Bass X. In all fairness I haven't tried any of the higher end Dobyn's and probably will not as I live in St. Croix territory.

NRA member?
They did for a while but the calls ended a few months ago.

NRA member?
I was a member for years but got so sick and tired of all the calls and wanting more money that when my membership expired I didn't renew. I may re-join sometime in the future but not for now.

Dobyn's Fury or Lew's KVD
I preferred the Mojo Bass over the Dobyn's 703C Fury myself. IMO the Mojo was much more sensitive than the Dobyn's for only $ 20.00 more. I do not have any experience with the Bass X to comment.

Dobyn's Fury or Lew's KVD
Not knocking Dobyn's but did you look at St. Croix's Mojo Bass series?

10MM
Back when I had my Glock 22 & 23 one good thing about the .40 S&W is that I could always find ammo for them.

New St Croix rod
I wonder where in SC's rod line up the Victory will fall? Will it be between an Avid and Legend Tournament? Price wise that seems to be the case. I'm intrigued but not too interested. I've spent more than my allowance money the last couple of years on LT's, LE's, and LX's from SC.

Rod for Shimano Stradic 2500
I agree with @FishTank and @Jig Man. The Avid is a great rod!
-
New St Croix rod
I just visited the website and the Victory looks like a pretty nice rod. I'm glad that it's being made in Wis. and not Mexico.

St Croix Score
Great price for an Avid! Good for you! When our local Gander Mountain went out of business I got a good deal on a Legend Tournament spinning rod.
-
Application specific rods what does it mean?
Funny as a kid and young man I had one rod for everything but musky and one musky rod. IDK that I ever missed any fish with just that?

New St Croix rod
I'm a huge SC fan. I try to visit the factory at least once a year (can't afford to visit more ha ha). I really hope they do not discontinue their Avid line. IMO the Avid line is the "best bang for the buck" in SC's line plus they have such good name recognition. To me it's hard to beat an Avid with a Stradic attached.

Every day carry knife...
I carry either a Yellow Case peanut, Buck 55 or Prince. I do not like to carry a large pocket knife.
-
Best Senko Rod...????
My primary spinning senko rod is a 610MLXF St. Croix Legend X paired with a 2500 Stradic Ci4+.
-
One Shimano baitcaster you have to have...and why?
How much are you planning to spend? I bought the Curado DC 150 XG last fall and have been happy with it so far. If I remember correctly it was around $ 250.00.

Do You REALLY Enjoy Fishing?
I really enjoy the entire experience. I have invested a lot of money in my gear and it gives me great pleasure using it.
-
Spinning reel opinion
I've never been letdown by the Stradic series (regular or Ci4+).

What’s the last rod/reel you purchased that you ended up regretting?
Dobyn's 703C Fury. Took it back to Scheel's and traded it for a SC Mojo Bass that I've been very happy with.
