On our previous house I simply used a 1500 watt infrared heater as temporary heat. If I had plans for a busy day in the garage I'd cut it on the night before set at 60*...... cheap and effective but not as a daily routine. On our current retirement home knowing that the garage would be my hangout, went with radiant heat and a drain in the floor so I could wash vehicles and start the boat. The garage keeps my sanity in the cold winter months. I do like the idea of cutting vents in the wall which would allow the use of a fan but you'd need a 2nd vent to act as a return. They make large vents with louvers so you could close them if desired.

I'm going out Thursday but it might just be a pipe dream as overnight lows are still in the 30's. Yes 60* Thursday but got a feeling water temp will be in the 30's as well. Plan is to rely on sonar and throw some blades. Just getting out will be worth it. Stay safe

It's actually a bait I've never thrown but want to this year. My understanding is that these baits work well in cold water. What few videos I've watched most let it hit the bottom and lift, yo yo. Can these baits be used with a steady retrieve in the more active months ❓ All mine are 1/4 oz. Last question and maybe a stupid one, Letting it hit the bottom and having treble hooks, won't hanging be an issue ❓ Thanks

I'm not obsessed with sharpening hooks but do check them. Big hooks like on spinnerbaits are quick and easy to touch up. Rusty hooks get tossed.

Caught more bass this year then any year I can remember but nothing over 5 lbs. This was my biggest fish in 2025 on a bone WP 120........10 minute fight. And a nice spot.

Saw a kayak recently that peaked my interest, very stable, high seat, easy to stand up and fish. Jackson bluesky boat works 360. Would never get rid of my bass boat but we have several lakes without ramps that I know hold big fish.

I've told this before. I caught a dog and it was an intense fight. Threw a spinnerbait at a dock and got hung on a top board " bad cast " and trying to free it, enticed a dog. Dog grabbed it and hooked him in the mouth, drag squealing. My buddy hit the floor laughing as I ran the dog down and got his head between my legs and freed the hook. Glad the homeowners weren't home 😳
