  1. The Cowboys are certainly a quality football team and will likely win 11 - 12 games. Their issues start in the post season with the culprit being Dak Prescott.
  2. 1/8 tungsten is my go to but throw way more shaky head then I do Texas.
  3. Going by the odd makers predictions may be a good starting point but as an avid football fan, I'd put Buffalo and Dallas at 50 - 1 simply because of repetitive failure in the post season. I'd have Philly at least 10 - 1 due to off-season moves and coaching changes.
  4. After all the moves the pecking order is still much the same. Imo Baltimore - KC in the AFC Philly - SF in the NFC AFC sleeper - Houston Texans NFC sleeper - Green Bay Packers
  5. I remember as a child having a great deal of respect for every fish I caught. As I've gotten older it's even moreso.
  6. I've kept track of water temps the last couple of years and I don't put multiple fish in the boat until I see water temps into the 50's. Probably water temps and not you.
  7. And the lady Wolfpack right there as well. Congrats

Don't think you can go wrong with Artic Fox or Lance.

Can't say I'm brand loyal but do have favorites, like Shimano reels, Cashion and Dobyns rods. As far as baits? Never really a complaint other than the extra care needed for handling Elaztech but the stuff is crazy durable.
  10. Have you tried pausing it and or a twitch - twitch - twitch. Sometimes this entices a bite over a steady retrieve......so I've found.
  11. I'd avoid the corn fuel myself but non ethanol is readily available here.
  12. Wife and I were fishing last year for bluegill and Crappie and of course I rigged her up with nightcrawlers and a chartreuse beetle spin. She got tired and decided to read so I moved to another section of lake and picked up her beetle spin. Several bass later it jogged my memory. These baits were killer growing up so ordered a few more.
  13. Wow, that speaks volumes.
  14. Unless you're constantly fishing in harsh conditions, a complete tear-down is not necessary. Haven't taken the handle side off in 20+ years but do yearly basic maintenance, spool, worm gears, bearings etc. The more reels you have, the workload gets distributed and less demand for anything other than basic. IMO
  15. 6.7 Cummins, no problem. Hope you enjoy the truck.
  16. Yes, I also enjoy reading about the paths members take in pursuing a bass boat...... following. Hope you find the perfect boat.

My not so conventional way is torching a large safety pin as a guide, works for screw locks as well. Yes Elaztech is crazy tough and can be frustrating on the water.

Not only the gas pump. I'm going into my 2nd year on a new bass boat, 3rd year on a truck and will need tires on both this year. 😳

I throw a Shakyhead and a wacky rig much more then I do a Neko but perhaps this thread will rekindle my desire to throw more often. I've only ever used Elaztech worms for Neko " they stand up well " and the O-ring is roughly 1" closer to the weighted end.
  20. We're already superior to the animals and the fishes......a little more ain't gonna hurt nothing. Nah I really do understand both sides, who is really right ?
  21. 2023 Lowe Stinger 60 HP Merc. Pros - Huge front deck Lots of storage Easy to load on electric only lakes. Cons - Graphics scratch easily Only came equipped with a 2 bank charger Wife complains that 38 mph is way to fast.....top speed.
  22. Likely so. The other hot item was RV's and there is a surplus of used around here.
  23. Thread title ? Only One bait needed..........(2) Shaky head and Wacky rig year around.
  24. Believe it or not I only throw a 3/8 - 1/4 0z jigs in only 3 colors. I only throw them prespawn around wood and they produce my biggest fish year after year. I switch to other baits after the spawn only because I'm a shallow thinker and believe other baits out perform a jig in warmer water months.
