  1. A Shimano Curado DSV. Like the BG its heavy, uses old technology, and will last a lifetime.
  2. I'm not the most experienced big bait fisherman, but I will tell you that after switching to a more sidearm, baseball swing-like cast I'm much more comfortable chucking swimbaits out there
  3. What size is your revros? The revros already comes with a shallow spool. Here a couple of other Daiwa spinning reel capacities for comparison ... Revros 1000 - 2/220, 3/160, 4/110 Exceler 1000 - 4/250, 6/160, 8/110 Revros 2000 - 4/160, 5/130, 6/110 Legalis 2000 - 4/340, 6/220
  4. The best attorney money can buy because the family aint letting it go that easily ...
  5. I add them just so I can spin them and have them make a whirring noise when im not catching fish ... I use them all the time
  6. Yall gotta stay off the youtube or eventually youre gonna find the video of fishing with coca cola and believe that too
  7. Agree with above. 2500 on everything but ultralight if for no other reason than 1000 sized reels get a single felt washer and a single drag washer while 2500s get a full drag stack.
  8. Just make sure its not one of those rods where the line is inside the rod. Idk why they started doing that but many of them are like that.
  9. My suspicions are confirmed. Vanish is better than Tatsu. I knew I wasnt just being cheap!
  10. So if heavier is better, what's he using? 100lb?
  11. On the 3 Fuegos I have you really have to be intentional about moving it. I end up using my nail vs finger half the time.
  12. I need to check out some of this BFS stuff. The way people talk about it makes it seem magical. I guess I just cant wrap my mind around casting a true 1/32oz any significant distance with a baitcaster.
  13. What exactly makes them fairy wands anyways? I've heard the term and I guess it made sense when we didn't have BFS. But how is a spinning rod a fairy wand but BFS isnt?
  14. Until you can add "for under $80" after that sentence, spinning reels will have a place
  15. I was going to recommend the Tenryu Lunakia (Ajing) but its gone way up in price and is now like $260
  16. I'd be looking for line tangled under the spool. Sadly I've had that happen more than once.
  17. I have a previous gen Nasci C2000S, and a Sahara C2000S which is just as good. They are a bit oversized for the rods but something about the Sahara 500 just didnt work for me even though it was smaller and probably balanced better. I did swap out the roller bushings to bearings from hedgehog studio.
  18. Twitch master is what i use in 3lb. Its a good line. You might get more distance with Varivas Super Trout Advance 2lb but youll also break off more. https://www.varivas.fishing/products/super-trout-advance-twitch-master-vls/
  19. What are you currently using? I went from a bass pro panfish rod rated 1/32 to a Majorcraft Trapara UL as my first rod and there was a noticeable difference. IMO to get the most out of a JDM SUL you really want to be using ester lines or braid. If you will keep using 2lb mono, I think the UL is a better choice.
  20. Yeah if your goal is distance, I would go to a JDM SUL. The 632SUL Finetail is a great rod for the money. Ive handled up to 2lb bass with the UL version and I'm sure the SUL would also do well (although I do keep a loose drag set at 1lb).
  21. 1/32 is .885g One thing to be aware of with JDM UL rods is that they are super thin. It doesn't mean they break easily but it took me a while to stop treating them like they were made out of glass. What are you fishing for?
  22. I try to get my most used weight in the middle of the rods range. Unless youre stuck on JDM, this would make a good rod. https://www.amazon.com/TFO-Trout-Panfish-Spinning-Piece/dp/B076HBLTFS/ref=sr_1_7?crid=MIKOAWHLL49X&keywords=panfish%2Brod&qid=1678154513&sprefix=panfish%2Bro%2Caps%2C168&sr=8-7&th=1&psc=1 if youre throwing the 1/64th jig head with the donkey tail jr youre throwing closer to 1/32 which will cast fine on this rod. If youre throwing the 1/80 head JDM is definitely the place to look.
  23. Correct. They divide rods into area which is stillwater and stream. Stream rods tend to be shorter and stiffer. The glass is a fiberglass blend I believe. Its a very light rod and honestly gets used more than my other rods since it feels better going from jigs to spoons and small crankbaits. These will throw donkey tail jrs a good distance.
