I’m in western ny and fish from a kayak. I’ve noticed when I’m out on calm wind days no action at all. Now some diehard friends will be out on miserable days and they are pounding the big fish

Lucky you! I get now just walking near it. I usually get it 2-3 times a year in my own yard

Call Shimano they’ll send you the part. what can it hurt. I broke a part on my 30 year old Curado and they sent me the part for free

I don’t think anyone would have any problem with having to have restrictions: you must be alone or with only people that reside at your residence and have proof of it

That’s the way it was last week and they changed the rules again now. Everything in this state is ruled around that freakin city.

I made one last cast and hooked a bush and didn’t pay attention. Unhooked lure, pulled boat away from shore and stopped to take a leak. Yep you guessed it. Broke out on hands and di#k. Went camping in 95° hot n humid weather. My wife didn’t touch me for months

The first two of your links is what I use. I just bought a pkg of each at Walmart. I would have ordered them from TW but like you I didn’t know what size. So I risked my life today walking in Walmart for $2.50 I’ve used Norman Speedclips and liked them but have had them open.

Sweet reels! I have 4 (used to have 10 - dam kids) that I bought around 1990. Just had the first one start making a terrible noise when casting. All are oiled up and working great now

Can gun oil and lithium grease be used on reels? I should probably rephrase that question as I’m sure you CAN use it but.... Is it good to use gun oil and lithium grease on a reel? It won’t harm it?
