I have and used two of them, TranX300 more heavy duty the Antares MD DC. But you didnt mention what you asking this question. What you going to cast? Because if you need casting distance the Antares MD is the king.

Not so important, But it is important for me if it is not effecting to the quality of my fishing. So If I have green rod , I wouldn't buy a green reel if it is not performing as I wish with that rod or my fishing style.

Last week when I was moving my truck to face it to the lake for night, I drove over my spinning combo to my surprise nothing happened to the rod but my Sahara spinning reel broke after more than 8 years of service. this is my first tackle that I lost due my stupidity, I always looking after my tackle and carry them and use them with care, but this happened anyways.

I dont have that particular reel, But I never heard of this issue with it from users, We have some member that have more than 10 of metanium. I am sure you didnt tune your reel depending on your lure type and weight. Anyways that was a great reel and your replacement is not bad at all, So just next time seek help before loosing a good tackle. Good Luck

I do that for sure, Sometimes someone shy and you feel they need help, Also I step forward and offer help, Show them how to rig and what to use and if they dont have it I give them any tackle they need. I even gave a spinning combo and tackle to a kid when he saw people fishing and he wanted to fish, So I was so proud to give little man starting combo and tackle to start fishing at that day and that was one of my best days I ever had.

I recently purchase a 6'10" 4 power dock skipping rod from dobyns, To tell you the truth that 2" shorter length make a lot of difference to make it easier for a begginer like me. Honestly I tried with 6'6" and I tried with 7' rod and both of them didnt work like this 6'10". It might be the tip also but somehow that length help me personally.

If I need to get a jig, First I'll look if dirty jig have them. Their jigs are the best.
