  1. I'm pretty sure zoom should sponsor you...you'd be a great ambassador for their products as you only throw zoom worms.
  2. 7ft Daiwa Aird heavy fast Lews LFS speed spool 8.3:1 50lb power pro Booyah pad crasher
  3. Oh yeah for sure...where I live I could easily get by only throwing cranks...well as long as I didnt care about catching fish.
  4. I've never thrown a weighted wacky rig but looking thru tackle warehouse got me wondering...what's your go to head for weighted wacky rigs?
  5. I use 15lb izorline xxx copolymer or 15lb big game
  6. My pattern the past 8 years has been shave it all off, let it grow with no trimming until it starts to annoy me or get in my way, shave it off...lather,rinse,repeat
  7. Way to go Christie and thank god...bout time he wrapped one up!
  8. I'm in the north country and that's similar to what I do. But I will add that I throw a straight tail...namely senkos and TRDs...more often than anything in all conditions and water temps.
  9. Is the MH/reg the Tharp series Bhite bladed jig rod?
  10. I think you get yourself some 5" stickbaits (dinger, senko, gambler ace), some zoom trick worms, some 6" curl tail worms(Mr twister is a favorite of mine), some Ned rig worms like zman trds and heads, some super flukes and worm hooks between 2\0 and 4\0 plus bullet weights between 1/8oz up to 1\4oz. You can do alot in multiple conditions and situations with those basic baits. My buddy had me build him a soft plastics starter kit last year..minus the Ned rig stuff because he already had that. I think I spent like $40 and got him a nice mix of basics that catch fish plus the terminal tackle to cover it.
  11. Ive had a Tharp series rod a few seasons and I really like it...so much so I ordered the same model lancer pro this winter. Haven't used the lancer yet but it feels nice in hand.
  12. I don't wacky rig much..now Texas rig is something I have tied on in some shape or form almost all year.
  13. I've thrown several different brands nd models...for where and how I fish the rapala shadow rap shallow is my go to.
  14. Cordell super spot is tied with the red eye shad as my favorite lipless. Its got very limited color options and comes with junk hardware...oh the other thing about it? Bass knock the crap out of it.
  15. Come on Christie...lets do this. Been close several times lets close this out tomorrow.
  16. I've handled a few premiers and they feel very nice...that said I own 2 mojos and like them both very much...I would not hesitate to buy another.
  17. They most certainly are..congrats on gaining some confidence in them while honing the bait casting skills.
  18. So im considering picking up a spool of trilene xt 6lb for very cheap...but its only available in green. Anybody use non clear mono for Ned rig leaders? Have you seen any negative affects?
  19. As long as that newly acquired Fenwick small mouth rod makes its way in the quiver your good? I understand exactly what you mean ...I've got a st Croix mojo spinnerbait rod that often gets passed by in favor of the old lightning rod shock for spinnerbait and bladed jigs. I've also got a dobyns Sierra and a 13 fishing omen for Ned rigs that sometimes get passed by for a cheap old shakespeare. I like refined gear but there is something nice about budget gear that functions well.
  20. Ice was about 1\3rd out on my local ponds yesterday...of course they are calling for thunderstorms and rain today switching to snow then next week cold.
  21. I was fortunate with a jig honestly ..I caught an 8lber my first time out. There was a learning curve to Ned rig fishing for me...my first time out I smashed them then went like a year or two and could never duplicate t. Then I read some stuff on it, figured out what I was doing wrong and it's been a staple for me since.
  22. Lurenet has extremely fast service. People have been posting on here alot lately about how slow tackle warehouse is but I haven't had that issue with them.
  23. Everybody said Brandon Cobbs gonna dominate since he's the local. Dudes in 48th...better start doing some serious dominating to catch back up.
  24. Jerk bait jig and Ned rig right after ice out..as the water warms into the mid to high 40s I mix in spinnerbait, bladed jig and lipless.
  25. Brian I'm gonna be honest with you, that smells like pure gasoline.
