  1. The 80 Ultrex on your aluminum boat would be plenty. If you can swing the Lithium’s they are the way to go. As for the 360 if I understand your question, definitely at the bow. The 360 is mainly for when your stationary to barely moving. If your getting new graphs Then SI on the console and DI on the bow or combo with both. I was assuming “my bad” that with the Ultrex and the 360 he was going Humminbird

I used to wish we could get cable. But now listening to you guys I’m glad we can’t. The joys of living in the country. Then again I wouldn’t change it for the world.
  3. Palomar for everything with no issues. Alberto when braid to fluorocarbon I believe in KISS You ain’t all there...
  4. And also Welcome aboard to the forum
  5. I hope your right Spanky. The last I heard he told the team to trade him or release him and he wants it done within the next few weeks. ?
  6. What gen helix do you have now? If your existing unit is a older version and your getting a newer version with mega SI/DI you should upgrade your transducer to the newer version for much better performance. Other upgrades would be if your going to be networking this unit with other units/ equipment.

    Welcome aboard Nullbass.
  11. They serve two different purposes. Spot lock is great in deeper water. In shallow water the spot lock will stir up the water too much. I love my Ultrex and also love my power poles. Different tools for different jobs. the big thing is what kind of water are you usually fishing.
  12. Wow..... that would put a smile on your face
  13. Dang you. I’ve pondered doing this but I was always Leary that they would scratch the gel coat on a glass boat. Now you got me thinking again.
  14. Unless they pull the BS they did last year. Our opening day was scheduled for mid April. We were headed to a lake around a hour and half away with the boat in tow to bass fish when my cell phone rings. My friend is calling to tell me the game commission just opened the trout season. No warning or letting people know. I was peeved but then I thought about the guys and gals who scheduled there vacations from work. They were really screwed.
  15. You could get away with a 10lb. mushroom anchor.
  16. That’s the way I would go. As a matter of fact I did.
  17. Welcome aboard RDB.

  19. Nice catch.. glad your safe.
  20. Sweet ??? congratulations
  21. I fish braid on most my rigs with no leader except for finesse. I use a Palomar knot as my final terminal knot with no issues.
  22. Not at all I’ve fished opening day with shorts and sneakers wading in the Schrader creek then the next year having blizzard like conditions. Variety is the spice of life.
  23. You got that right Spankey. It’s way colder and different up here.
  24. The Pa boat and fish commission just change opening day state wide to April 3rd. The manual is wrong. The commission was just on Pa outdoors and made the announcement.
