Boat control tips???
I started using my lowest setting on my trolling motor when trying to stay on the fish. I was using settings 2-3 and it was making me over-compensate. I now use setting no. 1 and it works great. Catt was the one that suggested this last year.

Apparently yet another JDM Revo

Apparently yet another JDM Revo
Current exchang rate from Yen to dollar is 106.541, so it would be about $356.00 plus another $20.00 to get it here. Beauty is costly. 8-) It is gonna weigh around 7 oz. I would stick with the Premier and put a carbon handle and cork grips on it and you'll be pushing the 5.8 - 6.0 oz. mark. That's pretty light! 8-) A Bassart with aluminum knobs would be sweet though. Just a little heavier.

Getting a Shimano Cumara B/C Rod, But....

Revo Inshore, with some changes. :)
When I opened the thread up all I seen was the before picture. I then scrolled down and got a big smile on my face. I love those Bassart handles and knobs, they really stand out. Very nice my friend. BTW, how heavy are the knobs related to stock Daiwa knobs? Would you say twice as heavy? I got some ideas for one of my purple Alphas.

Great Googily Moogily: REVO Bling!
Guys, you will have to send Jun an email if you want things not listed on his site. He can get you just about anything you need including rods. He speaks very good English if you want to call him on the phone. Very honest and reliable guy to deal with. Avail stuff is kind of hard to come by right now because of the high demand. You may have to wait a couple weeks before he can get it. Bassart makes a 90mm handle that will fit the Revos if you are looking for a long handle. Most of the Avail handles will be in the 80-85mm range. Sharp looking handles though. BTW, be prepared to pay about 2/3 of what your Revos cost for that upgrade on the handle and spool. You will notice a big difference after that spool is installed. 8-) That is a JDM Revo Elite in that picture. It has 4 bearings in the knobs among a few other upgrades. List price $385.00

3rd Annual BassResource.com Roadtrip!!!
Guys, just so some of you know as Fluke said, this trip is not that expensive. My cost for the week is going to be $681.00 and that includes a cabin from 3/22 to 3/28, gas for towing the boat down and back, and gas for the boat all week. Tell me where else you can get that kind of deal. For those of you thinking about going but not sure, this will give you a little insight on what to expect. For the guys that have been on these trips before: Do you all set a certain time for everyone to be off the lake to eat dinner? The reason I ask is I usually fish from dawn to dark and was wondering if most of you do the same?

Who on BR would you like to fish with?
- what should you do but don't?
Brent, with the exception of me throwing jigs instead of plastics, we fish exactly alike. cajun1977, in my most humble opinion, I think you should stick to Fluoro for the nasty stuff. I made the switch last year from braid. I got tired of the braid getting all those nicks in the thick stuff. I still use braid on my flipping rod (50lb.) but use Fluoro for all the pitching I do and couldn't be happier. My bites have increased dramatically after the switch.- REALLY impressed with Gloomis and The Tackle Box, a local tackle shop
Coming from a big fan of Kistler rods, Loomis's warranty is probably the best in the buisness. I can't believe I typed that.- Who on BR would you like to fish with?
I guess some of mine would be: FishChris, just to see a DD bass being caught. Catt, I think a day on the water with him I would learn a great deal. Fourbizz, to learn a lot about swimbaiting. LBH, because I like the way he talks and he has a good time. Skillet, I think we would have a lot in common to talk about. Fluke, he has one of the best attitudes on here towards fishing in general. Fivebasslimit, to get schooled on crankbaiting deep water. Alpster, because he has the same Zen-like presence that Rick Clunn has. Roadwarrior, so I could show him what a real baitcasting reel looks like. Burley, because my side would hurt all day long from laughing. Randall, I think the reason why speaks for itself. T-rig, just to look at his collection of baits, we wouldn't have time for fishing. Raul, he lives in Mexico, it's always warm and the bass get huge. Redlinerobert, where style and fishing go hand in hand an he's a real good guy. Avid, he also lives where it's warm and the bass get huge. And last but certainly not least, Muddy, I know I would have fun with this guy. A true class act. I guess I should just list the whole site. Hell I'll fish with anybody!! - what should you do but don't?
